We may once have mocked Republican Senate candidate Adam Brecht, but the guy has a point when he notes to us that in today’s Marist Poll of Hillary vs. GOP matchups, he falls within the same roughly-30% statistical clump as Rick Lazio, Jeanine Pirro, and Ed Cox; and only a tick beneath George Pataki.

In other words, nobody seems to have heard of any of these people. If Rudy doesn’t run, 2006 could be one boring year.
