The $100 Wall Street Journal Holiday Party
As has been noted, the wsj.com holiday bash is going to be a shoestring affair.
And even with the new boss in town, the newsroom holiday party will be a low-budget affair too. Though, Paul Steiger is donating $100 for it.
The invite:
Colleagues,
After raising a little hell about the Journal's lack of an annual holiday party, I'm happy to announce that an unofficial gathering of WSJ employees on Wednesday, December 19 has received a seal of approval from Paul Steiger - not to mention his contribution of $100 to get the spirits flowing, and his promise to attend. The chosen venue is the Gatehouse (reserved side room) - arrive before 7ish or the seed money will surely be spent. Please forward this note along - the more, the merrier!!
P.S. we are aware this coincides with a couple other events later that night - so we're starting early!! Come have a few drinks before scattering...
