Another Reporter Leaves WSJ For Portfolio

In the wake of Rupert Murdoch’s purchase of Dow Jones, another veteran Wall Street Journal reporter is leaving the paper to join Conde Nast’s Portfolio.

Scot Paltrow, a senior special writer for The Wall Street Journal, will join Portfolio as a contributing editor, starting Sept. 1.

He follows Peter Waldman there; the investigative features writer announced in July that he would be leaving the Journal for Portfolio after 22 years.

Mr. Paltrow first began working at the Journal in 1981. After leaving the paper for several years, he rejoined the Journal in 1997.

Dear Mr Paltrow,
We would very much like to have you on our terrific AM Radio show, MoneyDots on Main Street USA, which focuses on economics and politics. Host Barbra Alexander read your article on The Pentagon's $1 Trillion Problem, on Portfolio.com, which she would most especially like to discuss with you.
We broadcast live on Saturdays, 8-9 AM Pacific time (11-Noon EST). I have an opening on Saturday, May 31st. Please let me know if you might be available.
Barbra Alexander has interviewed Steve Forbes (now a regular visitor), the Governors of Montana and Nevada, Bay Buchanan, Newt Gingrich, President of the Czech Republic Vaclav Klaus, Mark Steyn, PJ O'Rourke, Bob Tyrrell, Barry Farber, Alfred Regnery, Ann Coulter, David Marash, Larry Arnn, Colonel Oliver North, Mario Andretti, and many other legendary bright minds of our times. The interviews run one hour, you'd be the only guest; no listener call-ins.
Looking forward to your response,
Best warm wishes,
