Astrologers Agree: Obama Faces Machiavellian Enemy
But He May Boast a Potent “Leadership Chart” Just Like Bill Clinton

The fate of the 2008 presidential election might already be sealed—in the fine print on Barack Obama’s birth certificate.
Was he born at 1:06 p.m.? Or was it just after 12?
According to America’s most popular political astrologers, what happened—or did not happen—during that crucial Honolulu hour on August 4, 1961 could determine the future of the free world.
Since Mr. Obama’s birth time is not yet publicly known, even to his own campaign, astrologers who make their living interpreting the impact of the heavens on the nation’s earthbound elected leaders can’t make up their mind as to whether he has one of the most ready-made “leadership charts” in recent presidential history—a strikingly similar one to Bill Clinton’s, save the seductive planets—or is cursed with the prospect of physical danger and a mentality too cerebral to run a country.
The only existing report of the time, which apparently originated from a shout-out from Mr. Obama over a noisy crowd to astrologer Frances McEvoy during a New Hampshire pass-through earlier this year, places him at 1:06 p.m., coincidently just 300 seconds after the moon transitioned from Taurus, a sign of resolution and leadership, to Gemini, a decidedly less confident constellation. And it’s only an hour before the ascending planet in the horizon, which determines first impressions, transitioned from a deeply powerful constellation to a more wavering and reckless one.
“If he were born an hour earlier, it would make a huge difference,” explained astrologer Michael “WolfStar” O’Reilly, who wrote about Mr. Obama’s alleged campaign-trail exchange with the astrologer on his Web site, NeptuneCafe.com.
Mr. O’Reilly, who has been featured in The Wall Street Journal and is a weekly contributor to StarIQ.com, one of the Web’s most popular online sources of horoscope information, has his own theories on what all of this means for Mr. Obama.
“One of the problems with Obama is he has a progressed Mars in the 12th house—the house of secret enemies—and Mars is the warrior planet,” Mr. O’Reilly said. “And it’s forming some very hard aspects to Pluto, which is the warrior of his chart.” In other words, “he has some very powerful enemies.”
Although Mr. O’Reilly fears that one such enemy might be a gun-wielding lunatic (he thanks the Secret Service for “catching on”), the stars might simply be spelling out “Hillary Rodham Clinton,” who has a formidable chart and who many astrologers believe will win regardless of the moment Mr. Obama emerged from the womb. She enjoys a Scorpio sun—historically the most common sun sign for a president to have—and a Mars in Leo, which, to a statistically improbable degree, according to Mr. O’Reilly, is the most frequent Mars placement for a U.S. leader.
Jeff Jawer, the founder of StarIQ, who invented the first-ever hand-held astrological calculator and cowrites a best-selling annual astrology guide, described Mrs. Clinton as “seriously formidable.” He also said she is not quite who she appears.
“Now, I’m not a Hillary fan, even though I’m a Democrat, but Hillary may be nicer than we think,” he said. He noted her Pisces moon, an indication of innate compassion that no U.S. president before has ever shared. But then he warned of a potentially “Machiavellian” side to her, caused by a Scorpio sun and Scorpio ascendant: “Even people who like Hillary’s Scorpion way, we know there’s an enormous amount going on beneath the surface. Elements of the left don’t trust her. And that’s the thing about Hillary: We will probably never know her. And in the age of media saturation, we love the quality of accessibility in leaders.”
But in addition to Mrs. Clinton, astrologers say, Mr. Obama has yet another foe to potentially worry about: the sun itself. Next Page >

Thanks for a serious look at a serious subject, from an angle that the general public doesn't usually see. The folks interviewed in this piece are real astrologers who know what they are doing -- not corner-store fortune tellers or "let's fit everyone into 1 of 12 categories" sun-sign "astrologers." It's easy for the layperson to dismiss astrology based on these popular misconceptions. But those of us who have spent years studying the art/science of astrology know how much it has to offer everyone, especially politicians.
Obama will make. He will break the jinx this time.
FAMOUS ASTROLOGER NAMES “OBAMA” AS IOWA WINNER!!
Zolar, “The Dean of Astrology,” whose horoscopes have sold worldwide for half a decade, predicts that Barack Obama will win the Iowa caucus!
According to Zolar, “Barack’s personal horoscope matches the chart of the United States, first cast by our Founding Fathers in 1776. More than likely, he will be our next President!”
If the US birthchart is 2:21 pm that puts Uranus, Venus, Mars, & Jupiter in the 8th house. AND, an empty 10th house. Huh? I don't know...could be - just seems unlikely. I get "right on" hits with 5:15pm. Anyway, my money's on Hillary.
I'm not a world-famous astrologer but I've been a student of the subject for 30 years. I set up a bi-wheel of each of the four candidates (McCain and Huckabee, too), with the primary chart being, in turn, the election day in November and the day the Electoral College votes.
In all permutations, Obama won. McCain, by the way, will be perceived by the public as a dangerous choice.
I wonder why I haven't heard other astrologers looking at the election-day charts. That way, you don't have to get hung up on the exact birth time when it is not fully known. You can look at many other indicators.
I think his chart is a bit worrying because his Uranus in Leo opposes the United States Moon meaning the very electric or unpredictable energy that attracts the population could suddenly and violently turn on him.
From a palmistry perspective with a photo of his hand in the world press today, one can see that he has difficulty with his emotions which can be very extreme, even though he appears calm and in control even mild.
Nevertheless a Commander in Chief who falls prey to emotions can be somewhat dangerous as we have seen before.
If he does get elected, he will need to have a very strong intelligence and strategy group keeping a very close eye on him.
His hand is Air with an indication of sudden fame and intense public adoration at about the age his is now approx late 40s .His shape hand denotes a careful planner, but one who finds it hard to actually leave the past behind in some ways this could be his Achilles heel as could his wife or certain colleagues.
This seems to correspond to the Sun and its position in the 12th house also .
He would need to be aware that he could be his own worst enemy.
A volatile time awaits if he is to be given the head job.
Astrology is fit for nothing more than fertilizing pastures and gardens. Grow up, people!
Where is his birth cerificate? Is he a citizen of the US?
Just knowing what I know about my four friends born on 8/4...
Incredible self confidence. Genuine self-discipline. Full of surprises -- cognizant of nuance and capable of extracting the meaning from a given situation. A great listener. An impressive American -- fully realized when the rhetoric of politics is no longer compulsory and leadership is demanded.
This man will never ask Billy Crystal for mental help.
This Leo male has an unusual ego charged not by who said what but by who remained silent. He finds a niche. A real talent.
8/4's need a mate like they need a hole in the head.
Like all "four" factors, i.e., 4,13,22,31, it is a mistake to place these natives under the ruler-ship of any one sun sign. Thus, the moon placement is all important.
Is a Gemini moon inferior to a Taurus moon? Not in the case of a Leo Ox. These careful, diligent, magnanimous, gallant do-gooders need some air. Sure, a Gemini moon would be detrimental to almost any other sign but not in this case -- not to a Leo Ox born in '61.
These people dream big and work better alone. You can't judge this man. If you want a "trust-buster" then this is your guy. He may never even the playing field but at least he'll try. Again, I'm not speaking my opinion but rather the consensus of the spheres.
Obama's biggest hurdle is his wife. Now, now, now, Justine -- I'm talking 8/4 birthday no matter sex or year. These people would rather watch the director's cut of Ishtar than chase after a mate. But they do -- because you did and you expect it.
Obama would rule like William McKinley -- a sacred trust -- plus his lineage would be beneficial in this time and place like Churchill's was in 1939.
Again, I hear these words and they're not necessarily mine...
Peace & Pi,
BB
