Clinton Spokesman: Drudge Version Misses a Detail About Pay Day
Drudge is taking Bill Clinton to task for giving a $100,000 speech via satellite to a group of investors in Hong Kong on the 5th anniversary of the Sept. 11 attacks.
But Clinton's press office now says that although it was Sept. 11 in Hong Kong, he gave the speech from his home in Chappaqua on Sept. 10 at 8:00 pm, Eastern Standard Time.
According to Jay Carson, Clinton's spokesman, the former president's entire public schedule on Sept. 11 was as follows:
In the morning, he flew from Chappaqua to Washington DC, where, from 9:15 AM to about 12:00 pm, he gave a free speech to a charity called the United Jewish Communities Conference.
He then flew back to Newark, and from 2:15 pm to 3:30 pm, he attended the Struggle Against Terrorism Monument unveiling in Bayonne, New Jersey, where he delivered the keynote speech. Also in attendance were his wife and Sen. Frank Lautenberg.
LeAnn Rimes sang the national anthem.

Even if Clinton gave the talk on Sept. 11, so what? Does the Drudge Report go dark on Sept. 11 - no. Are there ads on the Drudge Report that day - yes. Do billions of people in the world go to work on Sept. 11 - yes.
What does it matter, Clinton (just like GHW Bush) is a whore, raking in millions by collecting on the deals he did for the Chinese and the Arabs when he was in the White House (remember Charlie Trie)
So Clinton does the same thing as many other politicians. People may think that is shameful or not. I myself find many actions by Bill Clinton questionable. Although in this case the story appears to be an outright lie.
So the real point here is about Drudge and many other supposed "journalists" in the various media purposely putting out stories filled with false information about people and events in order to influence public opinion. This despicable activity has been allowed to go on for far too long now and needs to be stopped.
