Bloomberg: Not Like Ehud Olmert

In his remarks moments ago at a Gracie Mansion ceremony celebrating Jewish heritage month, departing Israeli consul general Arye Mekel pointedly reminded Michael Bloomberg that the last mayor of Jerusalem, Ehud Olmert, went on to become head of state.

When Bloomberg got up to the microphone, he responded by saying that “only one of the Jerusalem mayors went on to lead the country – and Rudy would be happy to do it.”

Fidel says:

Both bloomberg and rudy were not very good mayors of nyc(and koch the near felon was not that great either, the schmuck alienated upstaters with his Playboy interview which cost him the run for governor, not to mention he presided over one of the most corrupt administrations since Tweed and the horrendous crime rate during his time as mayor). Their mayoralities are bigger myths than they are the realities of the times and the mismanagement that took place and continues to this day is what really needs more scrutiny. It's time that Barret, Gonzalez and Siegal step up to the plate and let people know what's gone on and what's going on, I can't do it all by myself! LOL!

Nether rudy or bloomberg won by landslides in any of their elections( rudy barely beat Dinkins and has the poor distinction of just barely beating Ruth Messinger in an election that was noted as having the lowest voter turnout in the history of mayoral elections, bloomberg was the lowest rated mayor in his first administration and had to spend $500,000 a day to beat smart, cash poor Ferrer in the second election to be re-elected).For anyone to claim that either of these losers were good mayors must not be from NYC.

Btw, middle, working class and poor people may finally be coming around to finally understanding how badly the bloomberg policies have destroyed and screwed them over and have favored the wealthy. bloomberg is a failure and the crime in NYC is being under reported just as the failures in the NYC public school system. bloomberg has been a nightmare for NY'ers and you guys in the local press and media are ignoring all of this and are as guilty as the mayor in shafting the public, SHAME ON YOU!
