I am soo disapointed by the members who voted in the affirmative. But Should I be suprised? Prob not, some impressions Ive got based on the votes by the below members.
Arroyo: Affirmative,Stupid votes and stupid is...
Avella: Affirmative, self serving vote, do you think you have a real chance at Mayor?
Barron: Affirmative...Not suprised pandering to his base.
Comrie: Abstain, Courageous!, my respect deepens Leroy
Dickens: Abstain, smart and clever.
Dilan: Affirmative, clown prob has no idea what he voted for.
Jackson: Affirmative, Such a bright and genuine person making a stupid vote out of solidarity.
Liu: Affirmative, Shocked that someone who tries to hold himself and other to a higher standard would voite this way.
Mark-Viverito: Affirmative, not suprised after the divise push to rename East 106 you reamed down CB 11m and pandering to a base that wont vote for you anyway?. Stupid vote from a not stupid member.
Martinez: Abstain, Love that you at least took some sort of a stand. There might be a brighter future for you after all.
Mendez: Affirmative, Seriously shocked and disapointed here, come on Rosie you are so much better than this vote.
Monserrate: Affirmative, severely disapointed expected better from you Hiram, is Honoring Carson in the best interest of the Latino community?
Reyna: Affirmative, WHAT A HACK! Did you even know who or what you voted for.?
Rivera: Affirmative, Bronx BP race, right?
This whole thing is a joke. A relic like Al Vann crusades for the sake of what? Himself. We can't find someone else from Bedstuy to honor? How about naming the street that Spike Lee filmed "Do the Right Thing" on after him. At least he created a job or two and economic activity in the community. Let's face it, Al Vann has represented Bed Stuy forever in some shape or form, and it is still one of the remaining war zones in the city. Charles Barron represents war zone number 1. And we wonder why these communities go nowhere. I am sure that walking down Sonny Carson Blvd. will inspire some kid, and make him feel proud to be from Bed Stuy. Let the pols fight for insignificant issues, while the people they represent suffer and the services they receive stay subpar at best. Don't fret, whites are starting to buy in Bed Stuy, so maybe we can gentrify their asses out of office.
I hope Sonny Carson does get a street named after himself.
How many white criminals have had streets named after themselves.
