Ann Blames Clinton, Carter for 9/11 and Dreams of Denying Women the Vote
Ann Coulter's new book, If Democrats Had Any Brains They'd Be Republicans, hits bookshelves today, and as is his wont, George Gurley sat down with the self-proclaimed right-wing polemicist for a long chat [UPDATED: read the complete interview here].
George gave us a few bits of wit and wisdom from his interview, while the television is going wild about the beminiskirted babe.
On how much blame Bill Clinton deserves for the terrorist attacks of 9/11:
A lot. Jimmy Carter got the whole thing started, Bill Clinton let it build, build, build, build, build. He wouldn't deal with it, because he had no credibility on deploying the military. He was a pot smoking draft dodger, and so when he was presented with credible evidence that this or that country was behind a terrorist attack, he’d just have to look the other way: “No, don't let me hear that. Call in Monica!”
On women:
If we took away women's right to vote, we'd never have to worry about another Democrat president. It's kind of a pipe dream, it's a personal fantasy of mine, but I don't think it's going to happen. And it is a good way of making the point that women are voting so stupidly, at least single women.
It also makes the point, it is kind of embarrassing, the Democratic Party ought to be hanging its head in shame, that it has so much difficulty getting men to vote for it. I mean, you do see it’s the party of women and 'We’ll pay for health care and tuition and day care -- and here, what else can we give you, soccer moms?'
On why global warming is religion on the left:
Because we can't prove them wrong for a thousand years, and I think the other thing about it is, it goes back to Chesterton’s statement: that when people stop believing in God, the problem isn't that they believe in nothing, it's that they'll believe anything. And that's what you constantly see with people who don't believe in God: They're always imitating the most ridiculous, primitive religions. And it is like a primitive religion, thinking if we just change these lightbulbs, we can change the temperature of the ocean. It's the craziest thing! Even primitive people wouldn't believe something that silly.
The reason the left is so afraid of facts, truth and logic is because it hurts so much when you hit them in the head with it.
Ann is funny in small doses but her problem is that she is too stupid to know when to shut up and she's way too partisan to be anything more than a 3rd rate clown. For example Ann blames carter and clinton...and conveniently skips the 12 yrs of intervening gop administrations and she also conveniently skips gwb who was supposedly responsible for national security on 9/11. This type of "analysis" is a joke in and of itself. But hey she sells books so if thats all that matters to her - congratulations on making $.

This is patently false. By no means am I trying to say that right-wingers are fascists or Nazis -- they're not. But the contention that these are left-wing ideologies is completely, astonishingly even, incorrect.

Hurray for Ann and anybody else who will point out the insanity of the left and their desperate attempts to crawl out from under some serious misgivings they have cosigned. The left will not be in the White House again, in 2009, and the reason is the liberal scum is so unlikeable, and incapable of doing anything except destroy the libertys the founding fathers gave us.
Can we compromise and just ban feminists from voting and thus prevent the feminists from canceling the votes of the pro-United States community?

I'm no Bill Clinton supporter, but where Clinton ignored the building threat of terrorism, George Bush has ignored the threat of illegal immigration. Look at what is happening in Europe with low birth rates among caucasians. The terrorist don't need to do anything but reproduce and wait. They will take over most of Europe at the polls in a couple of generations. In America, the hispanic community will do the same. Thank God I won't be here when it happens, but I feel for my grandkids.

point of clarification:
fascism isn't necessary a left- or right-wing ideology. While it generally favors populism and nationalism seen in right-wing movements/ideology, it also favors command economies featured in left-wing movements/ideology. It is generally considered right-wing ideology because the fascists of the early 20th Century battled communists in Spain, Germany, and the USSR, most notably. However, I think that the actions of certain left-wing groups could be seen as fascist - e.g. Sandinistas in Nicaragua in 80s.

Archon, JJ is still an idiot and you almost got it right with facism. Both Mussolini and Hitler were reactionaries from the right of the political spectrum, not the left. Uncle Joe Stalin was from the left. If you get too far left you get radicals when you get too far right you get reactionaries. Thing is it's almost a circle not a spectrum. The last time a majority of white males voted for a Democrat president was FDR's first term! It all comes down to white males vs. Jews, blacks and woman without children. That is not an opinion, it is a fact. Nothing wrong with blacks, Jews, or women (some of my best friends...), but as constituencies they see the world very differently than us white boys.
Here is another little known fact: Statistically, the life event most likely to make one switch from being a Democrat to a Republican is the birth of a child!
