Björk, Björk, Björk! Iceland’s most famous swan-swaddled rocker gets the big-ass orchestra treatment tonight at the Highline Ballroom as Travis Sullivan’s Björkestra (yea!) performs. Björkestra (we can’t say it enough) is an 18-piece big band that blends “Björk’s visionary techno pop with the harmonic and improvisational elements of modern jazz.” Meanwhile, the fine folks over at the CRAIC Festival, which sponsors Irish movies and bands and general fun, gets the blender whirring at their Rooftop Benefit Margarita Bash. For 20 bucks you’ll get an open bar, some fine Irish accents and the chance to see Jimmy Lopez and Nappy G on congo and jembe drums.
