Friday, November 2nd
David Chelsea

Poor, terminally uncool Friday: We’re left with no choice but to catch up on culture: First up, the ghoulish Henry James play The Turn of the Screw—the only book we actually finished in college (it’s like, 100 pages long!)—at the Bank Street Theatre. Or! Duran Duran beckons at the Barrymore—where Simon and the “boys”—looking, let’s face it, kind of hoary these days—are playing their new album in its entirety for nine straight nights. Our name is Rio!

[The Turn of the Screw, Bank Street Theatre, 155 Bank Street, 8 p.m., 212-352-3101; Duran Duran at the Barrymore Theater, 243 West 47th Street, 8 p.m., www.telecharge.com]
