Harvey Named Interim Director of Lower Manhattan Construction Command Center

Robert Harvey has been named interim executive director of the Lower Manhattan Construction Command Center. He succeeds Charles Maikish. Mr. Harvey was deputy executive director of the command center's capital planning and construction.

Acting Executive Director Named for LMCCC

Lower Manhattan Development Corporation Chairman Avi Schick and Deputy Mayor Daniel L. Doctoroff announced the appointment of Robert Harvey as Acting Executive Director of the Lower Manhattan Construction Command Center. Robert Harvey was previously Deputy Executive Director of the LMCCC for capital planning and construction.

The LMCCC helps coordinate the construction activities associated with the rebuilding of Lower Manhattan, and ensures that the rebuilding process proceeds safely, on schedule, and with the least amount of disruption for the businesses and residents of Lower Manhattan. To achieve its objectives, the LMCCC works with the various federal, state, and city agencies involved in the reconstruction and redevelopment efforts, as well as private developers, business and community groups.

An executive committee of the Lower Manhattan Development Corporation is undertaking the search for a permanent Executive Director of the LMCCC.
