Paul: Fox News Running 'Scared'

This is from over the weekend, but deserves some attention nonetheless, since it's a spat that's clearly not over.
Republican presidential candidate Ron Paul said Saturday that Fox News, which has excluded him from an upcoming presidential debate, is "scared" of him.
According to The Boston Globe, Mr. Paul told a crowd at a New Hampshire diner: "They are scared of me and don't want my message to get out, but it will. They are propagandists for this war and I challenge them on the notion that they are conservative."
He added: "They will not win this skirmish."
Fox News has not so far explained its decision to exclude the libertarian, antiwar Mr. Paul from the debate this Sunday. Most recent polls of New Hampshire Republicans show him leading Fred Thompson, who has been invited to participate in the debate.

Explanation: it's true. Fox is afraid of Paul because he is clearly a legitimate voice TO THE RIGHT of them. That makes him a heretic. Fox cannot allow any heresy, lest their doctrine of infalibility be seen as the phoniness it is.
Is anyone surprised that Fox is trying to supress a political standpoint with which they vehemently disagree? This proves better than any previous example of their censorship of ideas they don't like that Fox is not a legitimate representative of the right. Ron Paul has more credibility as a spokesman of the right than Fox, which is why they want to muzzle him.
Obviously, Fox cannot win an argument with Ron Paul about Conservative principles. As usual, they fall back on the tactic of shutting off the microphones of those they disagree with. The yellow stripe down the back of Fox and its spokesmen is becoming impossible to miss. They are afraid of Ron Paul because he will not read from their script, yet they cannot demonize him in the eyes of true Conservatives by accusing him of apostasy, because he is the TRUE voice of the right. How pathetically cowardly Fox has become.
Fox is a threat to our democracy, our Constitution and our freedom. Thank God we have Ron Paul speaking the truth because no other candidate will.
And the RON PAUL r3olutionaries have loudly screamed, "RELEASE THE HOUNDS." The Fox hunt is on! The internet is wild with ideas from boycotts to dumping newscorp stocks to writing and calling all Faux News sponsers. The You Tubers, Facebookers, My Spacers, and of course anyone with a computer has a voice and boy are they speaking. I don't think they understand how much they have bolstered the troops. I sincerely want to thank Fox for hoisting themselves by their own petard!
Fox is a discrace to the people of the United States.
Strike another blow for Murdoch Myth Maker.
love it when the repigs eat their own, throw up and eat that too.
Dr. Paul represents the side of the Republican party that Fox fears more than the Democrats. This will truly be interesting to watch them duck and dodge a reality they never thought would occur...a Republican that does not toe the party line on war, the economy, the Constitution and freedom for the American people. Wow, ther is a God!
As an independent who has probably voted for more republican candidates than democrats in the past, I find fox news abhorent to the whole concept of truth and dignity. In my opinion the republican party should:
1. Replace their rubber-stamp congressmen and senators with people who are able to think for themselves (actually, I think they'll actually accomplish this - however unintentionally - in the next election),
2. Stop trying to reconcile Christianity with conservatism. It got them the white house - once - but is a contradiction in terms,
3. Get rid of fox news. Many people will buy a degree of tainted reporting, since that's pretty much the best we can get. But fox has taken twisted logic way past the extreme that even the dumbest of us can buy, which has the net result of pushing us in the other direction, which is exactly where I'll be in the upcoming election.
FAIR AND BALANCED.....unless your Ron Paul.
Keep doing what you're doing MSM, your hubris only serves the American people in the long run.
The more you lie and misdirect and conceal, the more obvious your complicity in the crimes of the corrupt administration.
It's better than a signed confession- see you at the trials!
Whether you agree with Ron Paul or not, you have to love it that Foxy News is scared of him!
All Newscorp/FOX advertisers will suffer considerable financial losses from FOX's stupidity. This is a consumer-driven economy, remember that! The Newscorp boycott has begun!
I think this will bring more attention to Ron Paul and his message !!!!Rupert Murdoch can take his New World News Corp. and shove it up his old, flabby, white a**
This is Total Biased MSM news reporting and candidate manipulation. I cannot believe the Media would do this, but it's no surprise since FAUX (FOX) News are like ULTRA NEOCONS NAZIs. I watched their Newscast a couple of times and I hope they realize they ALL act like Fox's Fanatical FASCIST Freaks. (4F)s!
Maybe FOX & associates should move to Russia and work for Putin!
PS: You can count on me, never watching FOX (FAUX) Stations again!
Oh the joys of finding out this to be the truth. How low can one station go? Honestly, Ron Paul isn't a demon no matter how much Murdock makes him out to be. Fair and balanced my ass. I am not apart of either party and glad for it, these idiots make me sick to my stomach. All they can think about is a way to shut down opposition without being called on their shit. When will the "dissenting" voices be heard? Tch, it's sad we had to come down to something like this.
It's Nader all over again. I hope Roger Allies and Rupert Murdock have fun dancing around with Hitler and Stalin in Hell.
Dr Paul knows how to get noticed: attack Fox News. All the other media loves that and will give him lots of attention. Job done. And the Fox-haters roar their approval. Suckered in again. I understand Dr Paul might be kicked out of the next Republican debate. Someone has finally gotten smart and realized what Paul is doing - running as independent and getting free air time from the Republicans.
Paul is not quite as slick as Huckabee who announced (while showing and saying please please please don't show this ad, for free, on your broadcasts and websites) that his anti-Romney ads were being pulled because he is such a wonderful guy. He is getting laughed out of Iowa by justifiably cynical reporters. It might be his Dean moment although the Stop Romney crowd will probably do what Huckabee wants and show the ad 24/7.
Murdoch, Fox News and the other dividers out there (Coulter, Limbaugh, etc) are a cancer to our future. They expose their views to get rich. They know their base, and the hate they carry in their hearts, very well and play on it. All the while they fuel the divide. Don't they know they could debate and pontificate conservative agendas without the fanatical labelizing, name calling, and stigmatizing. You don't hear such daily non-sense coming from the so called "liberals" in this country.
United we stand, divided we fall means nothing to them, and so we shall.
Ron Paul is scary to lots of people, but he speaks the truth about the Constitution and our civil liberties. Murdock should be thrown out of the country as an undesirable alien and lose his purchased citizenship. Fox "news" commentators should be looked at for sedition.
I am tired of the "Christian" right's nine commandments: the forgot "do not bear false witness." Fox bears false witness every day. They hurt the troops daily. It's time to expose how they profit from the war.
as democrats have been saying for years, fox is a mildly fascist right wing (not conservative) organization that is anything but fair and balanced...well, now maybe others will understand given a republican (oh the irony) has finally taken them on
Roger Ailes, a Guiliani advisor, is FOX News President. Since Paul continually critizes the war and Guiliani keeps promoting it, along with other candidates, eliminating him lessons the defenses Guliani has to make. Personally, I don't have a dog in this fight. I think they all are dogs.
Please expand on "get rid of Fox News". Government silencing, shunning viewers, killing them?
I hear Nader is backing Edwards. "Dissenting" voice enough?
Fox News is not "afraid" of Ron Paul, they are tired of him running on a Republican ticket when his viewpoints are Libertarian at best. This is a REPUBLICAN debate..let him run as an Independent..he is a quack.
Or maybe The New York Observer would like to stack the questions for the Fox sponsored debate as the Left Wing Main Stream Media has been doing so well in the past.
To Shannon:
True, Paul has little in common with what the republican party has become: hate for everything but war. But he does have some things in common with what the republican party used to stand for, and no doubt, with what many republicans wish it would return to. I wonder if it would help if he would go for the modern republican photo-op of walking through fields trying to shoot animals.
Rupert Murdoch should be deported back to Australia.
Items 1 and 2 are correct, but 3 doesn't go far enough. At the same time that Fox News bites the dust so should MSNBC, the "Progressive" version of Fox, and possibly CNN which is - unsuccessfully - trying to position itself as the "Centist" news station.
