Some recalled first impressions of the September 11th terrorist attacks:
On 9/11, I was on my way to the airport to catch one of the flights that was taken out of Newark airport. [Mystical Paths]
I had the TV on but it was on mute. I looked up at one point and saw some pictures on the news that I figured were some archival footage. [Paula Stuart-Warren]
I was in another country and I knew that I would have to fly to get back home. [Twenty Below]
On September 10, 2001, my best friend from Chicago started her new job with the State Department in DC. [DC Metro Moms]
It may seem funny, but I remember that day as much for the blue sky of the morning as for the events that followed. [Becky C., Arizona]
