Spitzer Reaction to Siena Poll
After a press conference this morning about opening a new school in Battery Park City, I asked Eliot Spitzer what he thought of the Siena poll numbers that were coming out, showing support for him and his driver’s license plan dropping below 50 percent.
Here’s what he said.
“Look. Only, as I’ve said on numerous occasions, this is a tough issue. And it’s one where we’re continuing to try to talk to the public, explain why we took the position that I have thus far and explain what issues we’re trying to address. And--but I understand you don’t need to see the most recent poll to understand this is an issue that has touched a nerve in the public. And we’re trying to address that in a thoughtful, modulated way. And we’ll see where we go and that is a conversation that I think will continue.”

The problem for Spitzer is not just the content of what he wants to do, but the way he is doing it.
He displays arrogance. He refuses to acknowledge other people involved in the process. His administration doesn't return calls - even to friends.
It's almost like he is trying to turn friends and allies into enemies.
He has one more year. Then the race for the nomination in 2010 will begin. And at this rate, the Democratic establishment will be begging Andrew Cuomo to run. If he doesn't run, somebody else will. It will be Spitzer vs. anybody but Spitzer.
What a waste! There was such hope, and we thought potential. We were wrong.

Scandals galore to come...Using "Blackberries" for communications which can be subpoenaed to court.
Starting a Fight for Drivers License's for illegals (Right before elections no less across the State)
Rasing Taxes on the common man again via MTA, Thruway, Port Authority & "Congestive Pricing"
The GOP proved NO Better.....
But hay, New York remains number one as being listed as:
"The Most Dysfunctional State Government in America"
