15CPW Alert! Sting Closes for $26.5 M.

Sting has closed on his condo at 15 Central Park West, city records show. The former English teacher signed the property deed for the $26.5 million, 16th-floor condo with his proper name, Gordon Sumner.

Sting signed the contract to buy the 5,500-square-foot, tower-side duplex with five bedrooms and a terrace nearly two years ago. In the time since, Sting and wife Trudie Styler took a massive Central Park West duplex of theirs nearby off the sales market, raising speculation that they would, in fact, never close on the 15CPW place--or, at the least, flip it.
