Kevin Brown, a.k.a. Uptown Kevin Brown, a.k.a. Dot Com on 30 Rock, will star in Marq Overton's stage play Die Laughing, opening April 17. In the play, Mr. Brown will play Michael Laurence, "a struggling but very talented misogynistic comedian, on the threshold of the biggest break of his career when he is forced to take a serious look at his life after being stricken with Male Breast Cancer," according to Broadway World. He'll be treading familiar territory: Mr. Brown is the co-founder of Uptown Comedy Club, a comedy platform that started the careers of comedians like Mike Epps, Flex Alexander, and Die Laughing playwright, Marq Overton. The play will begin previews at the Laugh Factory Times Square. Tickets will be available starting Feb. 20 at the Laugh Factory box office, www.telecharge.com or by calling (212) 239-6200.
