Months Til Lost Returns, Some Spoilers
Walking to work this morning in our skimpy track jacket, we realized something that shocked us. It's cold outside! Why didn't anyone tell us? Anyway, with the coming winter months just around the corner, we figured it would be good to check in with our favorite wintertime diversion, Lost. While it won't be back for its penultimate season until January of 2009, there are still plenty of tidbits to keep our fanboy hearts warm. Over at io9.com, they were nice enough to compile the latest rumors and speculations. If you don't like spoilers, we suggest you stop reading now.
Still with us? Great! From the very little dribbles of information that have thus far slipped out, it sounds like Lost is going the Ocean's 11 route with The Oceanic 6. Scenes have been shot with the core group (Jack, Sayid, Kate, Sun) meeting with Ben at a Long Beach Yacht club. Presumably, they'll be discussing a way to get back to the Island, why Hurley isn't at said meeting and how they plan on getting back at Andy Garcia.
Wondering about Jin's fate after the Freighter he was on blew up at the end of Season Four? Well you'll have to wait until episode five, when it appears some of The Oceanic Six will find out what happened to him. Based on Lost's history with actors who have run into legal troubles, our money is on Jin being dead. (Daniel Dae Kim was charged with DUI and ultimately had his license suspended.) However in typical Lost fashion, he'll probably live on as a spooky spectre, scarily grinning and speaking perfect English while haunting Jack for leaving him behind.
And finally, apparently in the season premiere, a "favorite" character will be revealed to be off the Island. Figure that to be Sawyer. Seriously, try and think of another character who was left behind that could even be considered a fan favorite.
