MTV Remaking Rocky Horror
Sweet Transvestite! MTV is planning to remake the Meatloaf-and-Tim-Curry-helmed classic The Rocky Horror Picture Show. Goths everywhere are horrified at the thought.
According to Variety, the two-hour remake will use the 1975 version's original screenplay by Jim Sharman and Richard O'Brien but some new music may be added. Who will they hire to write new music for it? Please god don't let it be Avril Lavigne.
Director and casting haven't been decided yet but a producer said he'd like to see the movie premiere a year from this coming Halloween.

I think this could be really neat.
A movie as old as Rocky and with such a following could be very difficult to remake and there will no doubt be a lot of people who are unhappy with it, but it could be interesting to see the movie as done by modern-day people.
I love the original to death, but I'm looking forward to seeing how this new one turns out.
This is such an awful idea. No one can do it better, especially in today's current culture.
The only hope is that they get nameless, awesomely talented actors.

Movies and TV are now run by TALENTLESS MORONS WITH NOT ONE ORIGINAL IDEA IN THEIR OVER INFLATED HEADS.
A REMAKE OR ROCKY HORROR WILL SUCK EVEN MORE SO THAN AN MTV "REALITY" SHOW, IF THAT IS EVEN POSSIBLE.

As a current cast manager of a rocky horror shadow cast in ohio i am wounded by the fact that fox would let mtv take their only film that has run in theaters for this long. Don't take your virgins to see the new one. Bring your virgins to the original real deal.
This..is blasphemy.This is probably the worst thing that could happen to this country since Bill Clinton!I just am appauled at the even thoughts of MTV attempting a remake of this movie.
They are going to destroy a classic for money,isn't that so corporate of them? No one,and I mean,no one can compare to the acting of Tim Curry and the orginal cast. My grandmother could act better than the people they're going to end up getting.
I think someone needs to go up there and kick MTVs butt,really.

No to the remake! There is no way that movie could be remade, least of all by mtv. Television is way to conservative, politically correct, bubble gum now to be able to do it any justice. Its a cult movie legend. You dont touch a legend. They're gonna just waste their money trying to make something for a generation that wont get it and is only interested in Making the Band.
