Bill Lynch: 'Georgia Might Surprise'
February 5, 2008 | 1:17 p.m
Bill Lynch, one of New York's most powerful black Democratic political consultants (and Hillary Clinton supporter), thinks that Georgia, where Barack Obama is favored, could break for Clinton.
"I think Georgia might surprise," said Lynch during a conversation today. "I think the polls are not accurate as it related to Georgia. The reason I'm saying that is because look at who controls the politics in Georgia right now. People say 40 percent of vote is African American, well how come you don't have any more statewide leadership in Georgia? You do have it in the big cities, but not statewide. And I think that is something you've got to look at."
