Michael Bloomberg is hosting a fund-raiser at his townhouse on June 9 for Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, according to two invitees I spoke to.
Villaraigosa, a Democrat, came up as a possible gubernatorial candidate in an L.A. Times column yesterday.
That would, of course, make him a potential successor to Bloomberg "soul mate" Arnold Schwarzenegger.
A spokesman for Bloomberg did not return e-mails for comment.
