Clinton Campaign on Supporter's Jeremiah Wright-David Duke Comparison: No Comment
The Clinton campaign says it has no comment on the remarks Clinton fund-raiser Niall O'Dowd made to an interviewer on Irish radio comparing Obama's former pastor, Jeremiah Wright, to white supremacist David Duke.
O'Dowd said "I think the issue that the Clinton campaign has seized on is that Barack Obama, you know, never once raised his voice to his pastor and said, `I think your language is quite extreme here, and I think you language is probably wrong.' Because let's turn this around. If this was David Duke and he was preaching on behalf of, and Hillary Clinton was in the pew, there would be outrage about this. And there can't be this double standard. Barack Obama has used race where it suited him, but when it doesn't suit him he backs away from it."
O'Dowd's comments surfaced on a day when Clinton herself answered a question about what she would have done in Obama's place, by saying of Wright, "He would not have been my pastor." She added, "We don't have a choice when it comes to our relatives. We have a choice when it comes to our pastors and the churches we attend."
She hasn't said yet whether she has brought up the issue of Obama's relationship with Wright in conversations with superdelegates.

Obama's pastor sounds like a typical wright person.
It's time for HRC to show some real bravery.
The latest polls, just out to night (Tuesday March 25, 2008)show O'Bama slashing HRC's PA lead to just 10% and opening up a 21% lead in NC. HRC has been reduced to revisiting the Rev. Wright issue, while she's being hammered on her Bosnia fib and NAFTA support about which she also fibbed.
We all admire the image of the brave fighter who looks destiny in the eye and soldiers on despite long odds. But this is politics and continuing the fight while clawing desperately at the image of the probable Democratic candidate will only be counter productive in thee extreme for Democratic chances in November. That's not bravery that's being foolhardy ala vain glorious Custer unless...
The Clintons don't give a rat's behind about the party, only themselves. Maybe they are already posturing for a run in 2012 when one term McCain will retire and there will be another open battle.
The only thing wrong with that scenario is that at the rate HRC is going now, she won't have the credibility to ever mount a serious campaign again.
The one brave thing for Hillary to do is recognize that her only chance this year is to destroy Obama and since even that might not work, she will earn the same honored place in the Democratic Party that Benedict Arnold has at West Point.
Be brave Hillary. Stop the carnage. If you can't quite quit, at least conduct a campaign that people will respect. Destroying Obama and Democratic Party in 2008 will earn you nothing but infamy. Leaving gracefully will preserve your tomorrow.

The Reverend Jeremiah Wright is an outstanding church leader whom I have heard speak a number of times. He has served for decades as a profound voice for justice and inclusion in our society. He has been a vocal critic of the racism, sexism and homophobia which still tarnish the American dream. To evaluate his dynamic ministry on the basis of two or three sound bites does a grave injustice to Dr. Wright, the members of his congregation, and the African-American church which has been the spiritual refuge of a people that has suffered from discrimination, disadvantage, and violence. Dr. Wright, a member of an integrated denomination, has been an agent of racial reconciliation while proclaiming perceptions and truths uncomfortable for some white people to hear. Those of us who are white Americans would do well to listen carefully to Dr. Wright rather than to use a few of his quotes to polarize. This is a critical time in America's history as we seek to repent of our racism. No matter which candidates prevail, let us use this time to listen again to one another and not to distort one another's truth.

Sen. Clinton's Own Religious Cult Includes Brownback, Santorum

Given Sen. Clinton's remarks today concerning Sen. Obama's choice of pastor, it's about time the cult of religious fanatics to which she belongs got wider notice. In September of last year Mother Jones ran this piece about The Fellowship, a group to which she belongs and which includes right wing fanatics such as former Sen. Santorum and noted bigot Sen Brownback.
It's time she stepped down. She has done nothing but embarrass herself and the Democratic Party, driving deep divisions that may cost the election and result in a disaster unlike we have yet to imagine.
The ruling class, having profited hugely from their puppet, the current President, has totally bought off Sen. McCain. He wants to cut their taxes further, continue their war, continue policies that will never reverse climate change and leave us with even less health care then before.
Sen. Clinton is part of the same crowd. She is not to be believed. Use the word, "dissemble " or "disingenuous," if you will, but let's call it what it really is. She's a liar, most recently about her trip to Bosnia.
Read that Mother Jones article carefully and then send it out to all your friends, especially the Clinton supporters. It's shocking.
She is not a progressive, she isn't even a liberal. She's more of the same, and prays alongside religious lunatics. She has no right to criticize Obama, her fellow cultists have done more damage to this country than any lone African-American preacher could ever dream of, even if he wanted to.
Sen. Obama doesn't have to project what it would be like to run against a Republican, he's running against one from his own party.
Stick a sock in it, renatam. There's no comparing Hillary's religious folks with Obama's pastor disaster.
Put a fork in Obama, he's done.
David Duke would not have spoken as Pastor Wright did.

We have a choice when it comes to our relative and pastor. Mrs. Clinton forgive her husband and that was her choice. Mr. Obama is a loyal man and i believe he will be loyal to Americans. He has a choice to forgive his pastor and stay with him.

It was obvious as one would watch the 'coverage' of the war that all of the cable news networks were working for the Bush Regime. The ONLY place we as Americans could attempt to gather some truth was through C-Span, Huff, Democracy Now and a few other sites which would show all of the networks to be actually misleading America. Now, with as simple a tool as Google, Americans can find out information that the networks won't give. Hillary's secret religion (cult) known as 'The Family' is a D.C. based group of the richest folks in America who 'pray to Jesus for the elite to rule the world' . The fact that there has been absolutely no mention of her cult leads one to believe that the higher-ups at the networks (and other big corporations) are a part of 'The Family'.....and the plan to rule the world. Truthtellers like Huffington, The Nation, Mother Jones and others have all done recent stories about 'The Family'....but where's CNN, MSNBC, Fox or the gang. They all know that there's an internet rumbling going on right now about this cult. But....no mention. Do the research yourselves....Google: 'Hillary The Family'or 'The Fellowship'....or 'The Christian Mafia'....once you do....you'll see that it is not only scary....BUT IT MUST BE STOPPED !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
