Clinton Easily Wins Velazquez, Serrano Districts

Hillary Clinton carried the districts represented by New York City’s two Latino members of Congress, Nydia Velazquez and Jose Serrano.

According to the unofficial voting numbers emailed to reporters by the state Democratic Party, Clinton won Velazquez's district (which includes parts of Manhattan, Brooklyn and Queens) 52,954 to Barack Obama's 28,455. That would give Clinton three delegates and Obama two.

In Serrano’s Bronx district, Clinton earned 39,472 votes to Obama’s 18,086, again giving Clinton three delegates and Obama two.

No news here, even though Serrano and Nydia arent Part of the Machines, their districts are Strong Bronx and Brooklyn Democratic Machine areas.Vito and the Bronx wouldnt dare not turn out people for Hillary. Also Nydia's district includes Ridgewood,Queens anyone surprised Obama lost there?

As a Vito syncophant, I was getting ready to blog about how one can't blame a loss in a Presidential primary on the weakness of a machine; national tides take over. Well, now that Vito's candidate won, I have to say the same. His efforts may have put Hillary over the top in her narrow Brooklyn victory, but most of her votes came out on their own; same with Obama's.
The machine's biggest supporters and opponents mnake the same mistake. They think it is more significant (or, when conveneience suits, less) than it really is
