Clinton Gets Emotional, Then Hits Obama Again

PORTSMOUTH--Responding to a question from a voter asking how she manages to get up and run and look so good everyday, Hillary Clinton teared up.
"Luckily, I do have help," she said.
"If you look at some of the Web sites and listen to some of the commentators, they always find me on the day that I didn't. It's not easy--it's not easy. I couldn't do it if I didn't passionately believe it was the right thing to do.”
There was a long pause.
"This is very personal for me--it's not just political," she said choking up. "It's--not just--I see what's happening."
UPDATE: UPDATE: More from her response to the same question: “Some people think elections are a game. It’s about who’s up, who’s down. It’s about our country’s future. It’s about our kids’ future. It’s really about all of us together, and some of us put ourselves out there and do this against some pretty difficult odds.
“And we do it, each on of us, because we care about our country. Some of us are right and some of us are wrong. Some of us are ready and some of us are not. Some of us know what we would do on Day 1 and some of us haven’t really thought that through.”

I WAS WONDERING WHEN ED MUSKIE WOULD MAKE AN APPEARANCE.
we certainly don't need a cry-baby for president.
She probably just read the recent polls before sitting down to talk. Panic is starting to set in as her "inevitability" is crumbling. That is what happens when you feel entitled to being the President and are working for your own personal goals instead of the needs of the voters. She has not connected and is having a problem connecting. Yes, she is scared and is getting emotional. But it was not tears for the voters but tears for herself. To describe it as for anything other than self-serving is as phony as a 3 dollar bill. It simply is not her time.
well, how convenient to crack up in terms that speak to the polls: "it's not about me but about the country"... Do not cry over your downturn in the polls - it's not like a few thousand people died (on the US side alone) in a war you authorized. Where are the tears about all those lost lives???
Good lord, she was hardly a blubbering fool. God forbid the woman show any emotioon, her biggest criticism. She gave a very sincere, human answer to the question, and if people actually watch the clip, I think it will help her. The anti-Hillary thing is so irrational and vehement, the only explanation I see is her sex.
GO HILLARY.
She is a perfect storm now.
Fake everything is the perception no matter what she does.
Tired of her claims of vast experience for simply being "the wife".
Tired of "she's the next new change": how can that be if she is the "experienced one"?
Tired of Bill's hectoring on her behalf.
She's just another white male politician to most because she was so "successful" being tough.
Why does she remind me of Nixon? Brittle, calculating, reflexively distasteful. Unlikable. Weasel.
Hillary is a person who has spent her life trying to help those that cannot help their selves. Look at her record. Her work ethic is unmatched by anyone in this campaign. Her life is about making change and she is compassionate about it. I would much rather see a tear of compassion in Hillary's eye than the smirk on George Bush's face. If a man would have shed a tear there would not have even been a comment. She is human and the Press and Americans have unjustly been tearing her apart. If you televised the experiences and accomplishments of George Bush and Al Gore in the last election, George Bush would not even come close to Al Gore in their past accomplishments and look at what we NOW have. The Americans went for the person that "talked about change". There has definitely been change since the Americans went for the person that "talked about change" but unfortunately it has been in the wrong direction. We all know what Al Gore has since done. Can you imagine if he would have been elected president the positive change he would have made in America. Hillary is ready for the challenge, we just have too many people in America that are threatened by HER ability to get things done. Edwards makes a comment that she is not tough enough to be a Commander-in-chief because she shed a tear of compassion, what kind of a person is he? Is that who we want as president? Obama says he did not support the war. WE as Americans should question that. We had grave information (whether right or wrong) that our nation was threatened by the use of a tyrants Nuclear weapons. What would Obama do, wait until they attacked us? With the information that was provided and after 9-11 everyone should have voted for the war. Hillary is tough and people know that but she is also compassionate. Maybe if there were more compassionate people in the White House America would not be in the mess it is in today. Is America ready for a repeat of the last election. Unquestionably the Republicans of course want Obama to win because they know they can beat him. In Iowa, Republicans went in and caucused for Obama because they knew they would beat him in the General election when they could go in and then vote Republican. Don’t gamble on America’s future. Stop tearing up candidates who have the ability to make such a positive difference in todays world.
I didn't know Hillary Clinton was a mind reader. During her teary-eyed moment she said some of us haven't thought that through referring to day one in the White House. What she may not have thought through is realizing Obama could be sitting in that Oval Office instead of her. Furthermore, if Hillary is for change why does she surround herself with those same tired faces: Wesley Clarke, Madeleine Albright, Bill Clinton, etc.
To be such a strong woman, why cry now. She never cried before when Bill was in office, even when he was caught in the Monica scandal. She never showed any emotions to the public. It must be politics.
Looks like another Clinton performance. The setup of this
"meltdown" sure looks suspicious. Just happened to be in a room full of women and in a coffee shop with the press
situated just right and I'd say she gets an oscar for
this performance. Time to get some truth serum for the observers in that room. No doubt Terry McAuliffe wrote
this script.
For anyone who has never run for political office, it is very trying. It puts alot on the back of your family and everyone around you. You run because you believe you can and will make a change. It is definitly emotional. So what if Hillary showed it publicly. The question is do you believe in her and what her policies will be if she is president. I will tell you this, who ever is the next president will determine the direction of this country for the next 50 years. This is a very important time in this country its time to look at your options and not whether or not you will vote for someone because of her showing emotion. Keep in mind that emotion is also contributed to the state of this country and the work it will take to protect this countries future. All I ask of everyone in this country is vote! If you are not registered then register. If you dont register then dont post your comments till you do. This country needs everyone.
