Doctoroff Cleared to Stay Involved in City Projects

The city’s Conflicts of Interest Board has cleared former Deputy Mayor Daniel Doctoroff to continue to serve in a number of roles connected with the city, allowing him to keep his positions on multiple governing boards.

Mr. Doctoroff, the architect of the city’s development strategy under Mayor Bloomberg, left the administration in January to serve as the president of Bloomberg LP. The COIB determined it was not a violation of the city’s interest to have him remain involved in projects that include Hudson River Park, the development of Governors Island, Moynihan Station, the PlaNYC sustainability plan, and others.

The board’s letter to the Bloomberg administration, dated March 20, did not include any mention of the West Side rail yards, for which Mr. Doctoroff serves on the selection committee.
