Deposition Lawyer: Bloomberg's Nice, Classy, and Running for President
From the category meaningless fun, it turns out that the South Carolina attorney who deposed Michael Bloomberg last week thinks both that the mayor is very nice, and that he is running for president.
Pierce’s client is one of the gun dealers targeted by the mayor’s coalition against illegal guns.
“I think he’s seriously considering running for president,” Carl E. Pierce, who is representing one of the gun dealers who believes he was targeted by the mayor’s coalition. “I think the lawsuit and statement against my client were politically motivated."
"But," Pierce added, "he did not come across to me as an insincere person.”
“I’ve been taking depositions for 20 years, and that’s a man with a lot on his mind,” Pierce said. “And for he most part, many of responses to the questions we had that day, he had a presidential character about it. He seemed to have a global outlook.”
“He was very, very classy in his deposition,” Pierce said. “He could not have been any nicer.”
