Ex Fox News Gal Exonerated? Canadian Police Drop Investigation of Rachel Marsden
Last time we heard of Rachel Marsden--the sassy conservative Canadian pundit and co-host of Fox News' late night show Red Eye--she was being escorted out of the News Corp. facilities, amid rumors that she was aggressively stalking an unnamed man.
This morning, some seven months after Ms. Marsden's sudden departure from FNC, the National Post reports that Canadian officials "have decided not to charge" Ms. Marsden "with stalking a Canadian counterterrorism officer with whom she had an affair."
"Ms. Marsden, a former Republican Babe of the Week who has appeared on Fox News and CNN, has a history of criminal harassment, having pleaded guilty to stalking a Vancouver radio host in 2004," reported the Post. "Her swim coach at Simon Fraser University also accused her of stalking him in the 1990s, but the allegation was never proven."
Ms. Marsden told the Post she feels vindicated:
I hope this puts an end to crazies falsely crying harassment by me every time they get themselves into hot water. It's obviously not the first time it's happened, but hopefully it will be the last. I mean, how many men have to say that I harassed them before it officially becomes a joke?
Media Mob believes that to be a rhetorical question.
In any case, Ms. Marsden has also proclaimed victory on her personal web site, adding a link to the Post story in big red letters: "FULLY EXONERATED of FALSE/MALICIOUS ALLEGATIONS!"

The stalking stories are getting stupid. No one in their right mind believes this hot chick has to resort to stalking dudes. Here are the emails this cop (her ex-boyfriend) sent her, some from rehab:

In the very first line of the sentencing report for her October 2004 criminal harrasment conviction, the judge references the earlier incident in which she stalked and harassed her swim coach at Simon Fraser University.Yes, the stalking stories are stupid, aren't they?

The swim coach at SFU was fired and brought back with 12 other defendants based on technical errors in the process that led to their dismissals.
He was never cleared. And like this cop, he tried to deflect the attention away from himself by dumping on Marsden for allegations that were false and never proven.
Seems the only pattern Marsden has is one of dating sleazebags.
Bottom line: Marsden is exonerated. The cop is in deep trouble for false allegations and leaking classified intel.
That court case against Marsden makes it clear the complainant was a cheating scumbag and Marsden got angry when she walked in on her boyfriend with another woman.
I have a feeling we would have had a much different outcome if they wouldn't have slapped a gag order on her and prevented her from publicly giving her side of the story. As an attorney, I find that a highly unusual move, indicative of the fact that the prosecution had something to hide (likely a nutty complainant).
Like this person above said, all of this only proves that Marsden dates dickheads, not that she has any real history of anything otherwise.
Stupid pussyboys can't handle a real woman. lol What's wrong with these losers?
Anyone who's seen this chick eviscerate people on TV and in print should know better than to try screwing her around. She handles things like a real man. My kind of woman.
But she IS hot. If you don't think so, you're either blind, gay, or one of her exes writing from whatever grave she buried you in.
Yeah, sure, whatever you say, Rachel. Get some help, babe.
Bat-sh*t crazy may be sexy to some, does nothing for me...oh, and how are your friends at Daily-Kos doing? You know, the ones who buried YOU...
I'm not sure how anyone who looks at the available facts can possible come to the conclusion that Rachel Marsden is anything other than a serial stalker. Regarding the Simon Frasier allegations, the decision against her coach was overturned based on procedural issues, but the fact that he was re-hired and the investigation wasn't restarted tends to suggest that his version was more truthful than Marsden's.
In addition, Patricia O'Hagan, who handled Marsden case at SFU publicly complained about Marsden harassing her after the case concluded. Then there's the 2004 guilty plea to criminal harassment (which leaves nothing to doubt). And now this.
Haha. You can always count on Nutty Rachel for compulsive ego-surfing, flawed logic, and anonymous comments.
wow, ran across rebecca traister's piece on her today, reading up salon's best of 2007 articles, and i wondered, how long until rachel is at it again, and sure enough. it was probably only a few months after the piece!

This young lady must be right over the target if she's getting such strong incoming fire from liberals and haters.
One fight with a boyfriend makes for a "serial stalker"? I'd say you're the one who's nuts. Either that or desperate to smear a beautiful young woman with a brilliant career both behind and ahead of her.
She must be doing something right to incite hatred from even the "feminist issues reporter" at Salon. The last 3 paragraphs where Traister rants and raves because Marsden is more famous than she is are classic.
OH a LADY accused her of stalking, too? HAHAHAHAHHAHA. As Marsden says in the most recent article in which she's exonerated/cleared: "How many crazies have to claim harassment by me before it officially becomes a joke?"
Looks like about 5 people actually believe this crap...and they're all on this site, Googling her, posting crap about her, and dare I say STALKING her.

Marsden's former Red Eye cast members logging into this site to post anonymous badmouthing comments may want to remember you're never completely anonymous. Didn't you get a verbal lashing from Fox management when you tried badmouthing her to the NY Post when she left? I'm sure you remember that, don't you. I hope so.
Jealousy is unbecoming, and this won't help you.
You can keep suggesting that other people are crazy and other people are doing the stalking, but it's Rachel who keeps being investigated for criminal harassment, not the other way around. Is her guilty plea not clear enough?

Canada's National Post sez:
"Meanwhile, Const. Backhurst went to the South Simcoe Police Service and made a criminal harassment complaint against Ms. Marsden, who has a history of stalking, having pleaded guilty to the charge in 2004 after a failed relationship with a Vancouver radio host."

Looking forward to your clever rebuttals.
Rudolfo: A clever rebuttal would require ignoring the guilty plea...uh, but then, reality has a well-known liberal bias.
I love how people writing comments on a public blog constitutes stalking. Too rich.
**sound of crickets**
Rachel? Care to respond to Rudolfo? I'm sure we'd all love another giggle.
At this point, mental illness or no, your utterly malicious intent to smear and ruin anyone who cheeses you off ensures you'll never get a decent paying gig again.
Thank God for small mercies.
Yeah, well, the "exonerated" nutcase is at it again. This time she is selling her ex boyfriend, founder of Wikipedia, Jimmy Wales, clothes on ebay because she's mad at him for announcing on his wiki page that they were no longer dating. Turns out she'd saved all his instant messages and posted them online too. Some of them will get him in trouble because she talked him into changing her wikipedia page (truth by consensus ... yeah right) and he did and she has the IMs to prove it.
The woman is crazy. Being hot does not mean that you can not also be a crazy stalker. I mean, how many men does she have to stalk before people get it? This is four so far. Four that have gone so far that they all landed in the press. Heck, when she sold Wale's clothes on E-bay, she even posted her picture wearing them with a poison pen posting attached. Wales, you got off easy. Next thing you know she'll be boiling some guy's bunny on the stove...
