Ferraro Defends Herself to Diane Sawyer
In the wake of comments she made about Barack Obama that have drawn criticism from both his campaign and the press (and then further comments that were even more controversial), Clinton finance committee-member Geraldine Ferraro made the rounds to morning shows today.
In case you missed it, here's a clip from her interview with Diane Sawyer, in which Ferraro says she has not heard from Clinton and maintains that her comments were taken out of context.
Clinton previously said, when asked, that she did "not agree" with Ferraro.
Obama said in an interview this morning, "Part of what I think Geraldine Ferraro is doing, and I respect the fact that she was a trailblazer, is to participate in the kind of slice and dice politics that's about race and about gender."
