via salemwebnetwork.com

Beginning on Monday, June 16th, conservative radio host Laura Ingraham will be guest-hosting the 5 p.m. hour on Fox News, the cable news channel announced today.

In February, Fox News executives replaced their longtime 5 p.m. anchor John Gibson with a show called America's Election HQ, anchored by Bill Hemmer and Megyn Kelly.

According to Brian Stelter of the New York Times, Fox News is searching for a new format at 5 p.m. and will be trying out a rotating cast of personalities beginning next week with Ms. Ingraham.

"Ms. Ingraham, one of the country's most popular radio hosts, frequently fills in for Bill O'Reilly, and Fox executives appear to be grooming her as a new talent for the network," reports the Times. "Other people will also receive trial runs in the time slot."

Today, Fox News execs also announced a number of other changes to their daytime lineup.

From the release:

FOX News Channel (FNC) will extend The Live Desk by one hour (1:00 - 3:00pm ET) beginning on June 16th. Trace Gallagher will join Martha MacCallum as co-anchor of the new show.

The extended program will originate from the FNC's newsroom to provide viewers with live access to the news gathering and dissemination process. Gallagher will continue to serve as a substitute anchor of Studio B with Shepard Smith and The FOX Report at 3:00pm ET and 7:00pm ET respectively.

As a faithful listener to Laura, I along with many listener are puzzled by her removal from our local Radio Station WDTK in Detroit. I have heard people speak of vile comments on certain web sites. I am shocked at the Hatred and ill wishes posted on the sites. Is this what "Liberal" has come to mean.
No other voices but the quasi-fascists/Marxists who do no want "free Speech" only their own collectivist, thuggish, fowl mouthed comments. I guess that is what "they" call "adult language"

Scooter Thomas (not verified) says:

Amen Brother.
Like vampires, liberals can't stand the light of truth on their "do as I say, not as I do" mentality. Speech codes and political correctness are inventions of the left.

Mercy Hale (not verified) says:

Oh you must be mistaken. Didn't you know that Democrats are the party of tolerance, love, peace, joy and enlightenment? They are intellectually curious... whatever that means. While we conservatives are hateful, judgmental robots who, as one ditzy actress put it are "intellectually incurious," whatever THAT means. I guess that's why liberal blogs and Web sites are filled with the worst, most juvenile hatred and slander I have ever seen. Thank goodness they are loving and kind, I'd hate to see what trash they would spew if they were mean like us.

Bugger all liberals !

Laura Ingraham, that's what I call "Fair and Balanced" - not! At least Fox News is being consistent - they are presenting the most biased news service in the U.S. My salute to Fox management for working as hard as they can to assure that the first Black President in U.S. history sails into office.

JT (not verified) says:

I wish Fox would replace the repulsive Geraldo Rivera and a few other lefties who stink up the place. Laura Ingraham is tough - tougher than Bush on important issues like illegal immigration. I wish her luck in her career. Fox management will have nothing to do with Obama winning - the GOP has a lousy candidate. He'll do himself in without help from anybody.

Savvyconsumer7 (not verified) says:

I hope Laura Ingraham much success in her new endeavor, at FOXNews. I think she was wrong to support Romney in the primary elections ... his views on So-Called Homosexual Marriage and Abortion were obvious flip-flops made for political expedience when he decided to pursue the GOP nomination.

The only Reagan-Conservative running is Alan Keyes. He's left the GOP (actually, the GOP left him and social conservatism.) Alan Keyes is forming a new party while running as an Independent Candidate, in 2008.

The GOP has lost its conservative base. It no longer represents me. As they say, the Republican brand is dead ... McCain is not a conservative ... the GOP no longer stands for anything different than the Dems. That makes them expendable.

The GOP is ready to join the Whigs ... on the ash-heap of history.

What happened to Bill Hemmer? No mention in the story..

I have watched a few of the Laura Ingram spots on Fox and I love her no bull style of hosting. She could very well replace O'Reilly, who fills his show with "fluff" trivial games with other members of Fox news. If I wanted a game show, I'll watch Family Feud...Laura brings it! I love it. No cowards allowed on her show...

Allen Hoppe (not verified) says:

Dear Fox News,

Please bring back Laura Inhraham as the host for the 5 pm show.
Thank You

PALS (not verified) says:

My husband and I love Laura, and we are concerned about her health. When she is not on "her" show at 5pm., we start to worry about her. She certainly could give "ole Bill" a run for his money....she does a great job at standing up for all of us who are "Right". If everyone agreed with Laura...they would...all be...right!!

Anonymous (not verified) says:

I think Laura had a great show, PLEASE bring her back as a regular show. Maybe "have ole Bill" trade his time for the 5pm slot, it would be a big improvement.

I had just started to watch Fox in the 5PM slot again and Ingram disappears..Back to ESPN..

I think Laura Ingraham is great. We need her on Fox News

Anonymous (not verified) says:

Fox needs Laura...She is smart, a real person. TV needs more women like her. Real People and not fake.

What a welcome change for 5 pm. New and fresh. Fox; please bring Laura back J.

J. D. Ortego (not verified) says:

Laura Ingraham needs to be on Fox News. Where is she?

Shirley (not verified) says:

I love Laura Ingrham please bring her back. If Bill O'Reilly can have a radio show and a TV show so can Laura. There hasn't been anybody good at 5pm on Fox News since John Gibson left.
It's no wonder their losing that time slot. Shirley

Anonymous (not verified) says:

Yes bring here back to 5pm. She is interesting to watch, well spoken, smart, and pretty hot.

Anonymous (not verified) says:

One of the best. Bring her back.

Megyn Kelly and Bill Hemmer are the best they are personable and great at what they do. Wondering if they are married to each other, I heard Megyn say she met his family? Was that just a social event or because they are a couple, Trace Gallagher and Martha come in second. The only complaint I have it seems your channel has more long commercials, you actually cut someone off to do a commercial otherwise your channel is number 1 in my book.

SSmith (not verified) says:

Dear: Laura,
I am not sure how to reach, Cindy & John McCain, but I would like to have the opportunity to speak with her, I need to know what they intend to do about Social Security, the Housing conditions, helping out of work people to find new jobs. I am a voting as a Republican for the 1st time, and I think that John, made the perfect choice, in selecting Sarah Palin, as his running mate.

I also see that now that McCain, has a Woman on his ticket, that Obama, wants to use Hillary Clinton, for his own personal gain, I really hope that she refuses him, because if he did not think she was good enough to be on his ticket in the first place, then he should not need her help. Obama, is a USER, for his own personal gain, and he needs to be stopped. If the world allows him to be elected to any office, you can bet that he will F_it up. He has never done anything. I have completed more meaningful things than him, and he is running for office.
We all Love Sarah Palin, and wish her the very best of luck, and hopefully she will win, and win big. Then maybe that Obama, will realize that everything is not about him.

Laura,
I have two comments,#1 I think someone has gotten to Bill ORielly.I think George Sorros is blackmailing Bill. He's in fact the owner of ABC,and a Obama supporter. In my opinion Sorros is using Bills radio program as leverage to get Bill to downplay Obamas questionable past and ties, to alot of unsavory charectors.I was glad to see you flush Bill out last night on that very point.#2 I have in fact solved perpetual motion. What dose that mean to you ? Ok I have developed a system that uses perpetual motion, that creates energy from no fuel sorce at all ,not even wind.My problem is who do you trust with this, and how do I introduce This system to the world.Without having my research stolen. This system can be a single unit to power a single home ,or easily upscaled to power anything. This is by far the most important invention since the home computer, and is worth billions .So you can see my concern here.I'm really nobody,I'm just a guy who likes to tinker. The ideal came to me from a chidhood toy, and is paperclip simple. In todays world people are always trying to over complicate solutions to simple problems.John McCain offered 300 million to the person who could solve the energy crisis. Well thats me,and I have typed untill my fingers have worn off.Every one I can think of T.Boone, McCain ect.ect.My emails seem to go into a black hole of no return.listen I know you are a lawyer, and I need your help. I'm not some crack pot,or fool.Like I said, I'm just a guy of a working class station in life. I've been at this for 6 months ,and haven't recieved one single reply .I'm coming to the end of my rope, and I'm asking you to help me .

I remain ,
Sam Hancock
