Molinari on Giuliani for Governor (Yes), Mayor (No)
The speculation that Rudy Giuliani might try to run for governor in 2010 has one of his earliest supporters pretty excited.
“He’s going to be around again, hopefully as governor," said former Staten Island Borough President Guy Molinari. "It would be a good spot for him.”
While we were on the topic of Giuliani-based fantasy scenarios , I asked Molinari what he thought of the idea of the former mayor running for his old job in 2009. After all, the term limits law, which applies to consecutive terms, wouldn't prevent him from mounting a new bid, and it's not like the Republican field is crowded.
Molinari, who talked Giuliani into running for mayor back in 1988, had mixed feelings about the idea of a comeback.
“Well, I haven’t heard too much about that," he said. "I think it would be a tough race. Rudy’s record is a good record. But trying to elect a conservative Republican--almost a hopeless task. "
He added, “I think it would be a more difficult race now because crime is not a big issue.”

You mean the same Rudy Giuliani, one of the great failures in American presidential politics, who spent $60 million+ and didn't get one delegate?
Rudy,
Not just NO, but HELL NO !!!
Other then on Staten Island - Guy is now obsolete on his opinions.
This is the same Guy that picked a loser like Rudy Guilaini for President after he was advised by many Conservatives that told him Rudy would never, ever make it to first base on the national level.
Talking heads as Sean Hannity & George Will also fell for Rudy...Hook. Line and Stinker....(I advised them all of this outcome)
I personally told everyone on this blog that Rudy was a loser for sure. Americans are Conservative in nature and Rudy is Liberal.
Americans do not take kind to San Francisco or New York City Liberals.
On another matter, The NY Republican Party is bankrupt with their voting most times for the more taxes, out of control spending and running away from moderate or conservative social issues of their base.
Hence their possible demise and loss of the NY State Senate.

To whom it may concern;
As a Patriot as well as a fellow New Yorker I am absolutely appalled by these comments posted about former NYC Mayor Mr. Rudolph Giuliani.
A lot of people do not remember all the great things he did for the once almost condemned city of NY. How he increase security levels in NYPD, helped raise wages for Sanitation, NYFD, Port Authority employees, and not to mention make the emission test harder on the TLC (Taxi & Limousine Commission), so you would not see those broken down and very unsafe checker cabs on the side of the road.
If it was not for him cleaning up the city of NY you can almost bet that all your big corporations that moved into the once pimp and prostitute infested Times Square, would not overflow the city with tourism as it does today.
For anyone to say he is a loser is down right immature and also UN called for. Especially after all the good he has done for the city of NY. Look back before he was a great Mayor, back when he put a serious chock hold on the NYC Mafia families back in 1980’s. Plus who could ever forget how he reacted on the September 11th. Most people say he did not do anything, but think about what have could have happen in the aftermath of 911. Think back to the late 70’s black out in NYC, and how there was riots all over the streets of NY. If it was not for former Mayor Giuliani setting up all security measures within the first 48 hours the out come of 911 could have been far worst. Take a look at the after effects of Hurricane Katrina, the riots, the killings, and rape that happen in the super Dome, because no one executed a plan of action like Mayor Giuliani did for the city of NY, well before the federal government was involved. I ask you to take all this into consideration before you call this man a loser.
Respectfully,
