Green Gioia Joined By Gore Child

Councilman Eric Gioia is throwing a "give what you can" fund-raiser birthday party with his "good friend, author and activist Karenna Gore Schiff," also the daughter of Al Gore.
Part of the (painfully?) colorful invitation that isn't picture here says, "We are proud to go green. The Gioia campaign is the first carbon neutral campaign in NYC history."
Gioia is rumored to be considering a run for public advocate. He's one of the better-funded likely candidates in a race that, so far, is not particularly crowded.

So, when is Council Member Gioia going to give up his gas-guzzling, high octane SUV that he drives to City Hall every day? (and does that mean his pro-congestion pricing vote was a "do as I say, not as I do" vote). Seems like his green theme is not 100 percent yet.
Eric rides the subway almost every day, and when he doesn't he drives a hybrid.
I hope this blog will also plug fundraisers for Norman Seigel, the best candidate for Public Advocate and the only one who has been performing the duties of this office nearly all of his life.
I hope this blog will also plug fundraisers for Norman Seigel, the best candidate for Public Advocate and the only one who has been performing the duties of this office nearly all of his life. And he is also the only candidate who is so super busy advocating but still has time to surf the web and blog post on himself every few minutes.
