Hillary Deplores Opponents' Inexperience, Praises the Iron Lady

DOVER--Hillary Clinton is back on stage, this time at a high school, taking questions and hitting her opponents for she says is their failure to stand up to special interests, achieve health care reforms and or take consistent positions on the war in Iraq.

There's more of the hardwood gym floor visible than usual behind the small crowd of 250, which is listening to her slam her rivals.

"No matter how beautifully delivered a speech is, when the words finish, it is over," she said.

She said the contrasts she was attempting to draw were necessary to give voters the appropriate information before voting. That's why this week's debate was so important, she said. "My two leading opponents actually got asked some questions," she said. "I didn't mind through 15 debates myself."

A few minutes later she said, "I offer, yes, years of experience." Talking about the progress Margaret Thatcher made on global warming, she said, "We had one leader, I don't know how likeable she was, one leader who actually made it a priority and got the job done."

Greg (not verified) says:

I was at this event and, although I'm still not decided on whether I will vote for Clinton, feel I must correct a couple of inaccuracies in this short article...

1. Senator Clinton was not meeting at a high school in Dover - she was at the McConnell Community Center.

2. There was "more of the hardwood gym floor visible than usual behind the small crowd of 250" because that was the maximum permitted by the fire code. Another 150 were outside waiting to greet her.

Minor inaccuracies, but they certainly cast doubt on the content and inferences in the rest of the article.

I'm glad the media is reporting so extensively on the NH Primary but, come on, try to get it right.
