Comptroller candidate and City Councilwoman Melinda Katz has just hired Geoffrey Garin, a Democratic pollster (who was quoted in today’s New York Times).
“I am pleased to have a nationally renowned and respected pollster like Geoff Garin on my team," Katz said through a statement from her spokeswoman. "He really understands New York and has a great feel for the issues that will affect this race. I’m looking forward to working with him.”
Locally, Garin has done polling for Chuck Schumer and the United Federation of Teachers.
Also running for comptroller are Adolfo Carrion, David Yassky, David Weprin, Jim Brennan and Simcha Felder.
