Lesbian and Gay Democratic Club Endorses Monserrate

In other endorsement news: The Lesbian and Gay Democratic Club of Queens endorsed Councilman Hiram Monserrate. Monserrate is trying, for the second time, to unseat State Senator John Sabini.
The endorsement is not entirely unexpected. Monserrate has the support of the Queens County Democratic Organization, a number of unions and many elected officials.
The councilman also has a connection to the club: one co-founder, Wayne Mahlke, currently works in Monserrate's office.

It seems apparent that the once well respected now drunk driving State Senator is losing supporters in droves. I chalk this up to three reasons:
1) he let alot of people down and didn't use his power as a State Senator to help advance the agenda he promised them
2) no one likes a drunk
3) CM Monserrate is a well know, tireless advocate for not only his constituents but many others residents of Queens.
It is time for the drunk driving Sabini to depart the scene. Luckily for the residents of the district Hiram Monserrate is ready willing and able to replace him.
YES - let's support Hiram Monserrate - the bad cop who left the department under a mental disability and now banks on the public's ignorance to get elected. This is the guy who is also being investigated for misuse of public funds, honored a drug dealer who is currently in jail for child pornography, and abandones his constituents on a regular basis by flip-flopping on any vote he thinks he can get a personal/political financial advantage on (eg: congestion pricing= mayor's $upport, willets point= $ from current owners, advertising for paragon honda (which has hundreds of consumer complaints)= $5K for self-promoting event. Ahhh... and don't forget his arrest on 9/11 for running over a Marshall's foot as he was trying to reposess his car!
To Anon, one ticket doesn't make you a drunk. Let's not forget people that Monserrate is about to be indicted for corruption. Now, that's a good candidate. One that steals. All the boss tweeds and so called LGBT members should be ashamed of themselves. Monserrate could care less about your gay rights or the other rights of his constituents. As a councilmember he is the worst. Try calling his district office and getting a response about any local issue to just a simple response. This is what you want on a state level. You people are out of your mind to endorse this crook. VOTE FOR SABINI at least his record shows he has not misused funds.
Monserrate has one of the worst attendance records at the city council. Do Queens voters want some hack who can't make it to work?
