Lindsay Lohan Returns With Labor Pains

After several breakdowns and drug busts, Lindsay Lohan finally seems to be settling down, what with getting all domestic and cutesy with maybe-girlfriend Samantha Ronson, going through Ugly Betty rehab, and now getting herself a real movie-acting gig. Variety is reporting that she'll appear in a movie called Labor Pains, a rom-com with Ms. Lohan "as an assistant, working in a stuffy publishing house, who pretends to be pregnant in a desperate attempt to keep her nasty boss from firing her."

The actress... said she loved the script. "It is a very different role for me and I look forward to the challenges it will present, and I love working on comedies."

"I didn't know Lindsay before this, but we looked each other in the eye three months ago, and she has done everything I could have asked," said [producer Eric Schwartz], whose producing credits include "Gangs of New York" and "The Departed."

Production starts on June 9. We wonder how they came up with the insurance money?
