In London, McCain Speaks About Iraq

John McCain is in London to meet with Gordon Brown on Iraq (and hold a fund-raiser). Talking to reporters outside 10 Downing Street, he said he appreciates the contribution of British troops to the war and “that the British public opinion has been frustrated."

"Having just come from Iraq," he continues, "I can tell you that the situation has improved dramatically over the last year. Iraqi people are going about their normal lives, but the fact is Al Qaeda on the run, they are not defeated. They are not defeated." He goes on to discuss the measures that need to be taken to achieve stability.
