Man Booker Needs Your Votes!
The Man Booker Prize judges want YOU to vote for your favorite novel! The shortlist for Best of the Booker, a one-off celebratory award to mark the 40th anniversary of the Booker Prize, was announced today. Biographer, novelist, critic and selection chair Victoria Glendinning, writer and broadcaster Mariella Frostrup, and John Mullan, professor of English at University College in London chose the six novels, but readers will be able to make the big decision here. The only time that a celebratory award has previously been created for ‘the Booker' was 15 years ago for the the 25th anniversary. Mr. Rushdie won the Booker of Bookers with Midnight's Children.
