ABC's Bob Woodruff Discusses New Documentary With Charlie Rose
On Tuesday night, ABC News correspondent Bob Woodruff appeared on PBS' Charlie Rose to discuss his new hour-long documentary for ABC about China's emergence as a global superpower, called China Inside Out.
Along the way, Mr. Woodruff discussed the Chinese government's presence in Angola, its relationship with Brazil, and the quality of life of its residents.
At one point, Mr. Rose asked Mr. Woodruff—who was severely injured while reporting in Iraq in 2006—about his health.
"If I was here two years ago, I don't think I could really answer your questions," said Mr. Woodruff. "I wouldn't understand what you are saying. I think I have seen—there is something amazing about the brain that we are now learning, is that these neurons that were split apart are coming back very quickly. I still have some losses of words. Sometimes I can't remember some of the names that I know very well. I know Charlie's name. But I sometimes even forget my brothers' names, but a lot of that is disappearing. ... It is miraculous."
