The names of the casualties from this morning's layoffs at Doubleday are starting to come in.
A partial list, just now confirmed by spokesman David Drake, includes:
—Janet Silver, who started as an editor-at-large at Nan Talese's imprint in May.
—Tina Pohlman, who started as a senior editor at Spiegel & Grau in January
—Spiegel & Grau director of publicity Gretchen Koss
—Jennifer Josephy, an editor at Broadway.
