Nas on Colbert: 'I Think O'Reilly is Afraid of Me'
Yesterday, The Observer's Bharat Ayyar reported on MoveOn.org and rapper Nas' protest outside of Fox News headquarters in Manhattan.
Last night, Nas appeared on The Colbert Report to explain himself. When asked by Mr. Colbert why he thinks Fox is racist, Nas (real name Nasir Jones) said, "It's obvious. Everybody that has eyes and ears can see that this guy [Bill O'Reilly] is out of control. He knows what he's doing, you know what I mean? It's out of line. The things he's saying is worse than the worst rap lyrics I ever heard."
The rapper also told the host, "I think O'Reilly's afraid of me."
During the interview, Mr. Colbert shows his own rapping prowess (don't worry Alex Karras and Jim Belushi, you're still the best white guy rappers) and even earns a compliment from Nas, who calls him "a gangsta host." Clearly flattered, Mr. Colbert boasts, "I will pop the truth in your ass."

NAS, RU Serious, I lost mad respect for you homie, oriely is a good guy, and ur a racist
Ha. O'rielly a good guy? And I suppose Bush is America's savior? Open your eyes.
This NAS person needs to just be quiet.
The only racist is NAS who wanted to name his latest flop of an album with the n-word.
What a loser.
hey, i agree that Nas naming his album "n-word' was pretty dumb on his part, but if this is a truly free speech country, then whos to stop him.
but here's the point. o reilly is the most fucking idiotic man on this earth. i cannot BELIEVE he has a television show when he should be locked up for being freaking racist. you know he is.
HE started this whole mess by criticizing virginia tech for hiring him for a concert. HE should keep his fat nose out of other people's choices, and the world would be so much happier.
die, bill o reilly.
thanks nas for making him mad. it'll just cheer everyone else up.
UP UP UP
Why on earth do you morons think o'reilly is a racist? Get your heads out of you keisters and wake the hell up or move to canada.
The O'Reilly/Nas beef started last year when Nas performed at the concert for VT, but thats a whole other thing. Why does do either of these guys care about each other. O'reilly is definitely insensitive to race however. Nas really doesn't do anything racist. To imply that hes racist against his own race is preposterous. Nas speaks the truth (I hope) hes a great artist and vocal storyteller. Hes a great hip hop MC not a gangsta rapper. His albums in no way resemble the prototypical gangsta rap of NWA glorifying sexism, racism, and violence. Nas is quite more elegiac. I could talk a lot more about this but I’ll just stop. I’m white I like Nas and you all know Colbert hates O’Reilly right?
