Robert Novak Retires; Brain Tumor 'Dire'

This week in Robert Novak news, according to his home paper, The Chicago Sun-Times, the syndicated columnist is retiring following last week's announcement that he was diagnosed with a brain tumor. That bit of grim news came a week after reports that Mr. Novak hit an elderly homeless man with his car.
Mr. Novak told the Sun-Times his prognosis was "dire" and that "The details are being worked out with the doctors this week, but the tentative plan is for radiation and chemotherapy."
