Star-Ledger Nears Deal with Drivers' Union
Things are looking steady again at the Star-Ledger.
The paper has found 200 employees to accept buyouts, and now has a tentative deal in place with the drivers' union.
Donald Newhouse confirmed it to the A.P. and said, "I am very hopeful that we will have the buyouts and I'm very hopeful that the union will ratify the agreement." He added that he will know "for sure" next Wednesday.
Keith Kelly reported it first on Wednesday.
