Natalie Portman has found a stylish way to save the environment. The 26-year-old actress, whose diet has remained strictly meat-free for the last 17 years, has joined forces with New York-based fashion label Té Casan to design a line of “vegan-friendly” shoes called—what else?—the Natalie Portman Collection.

Actual designs for Ms. Portman’s forthcoming footwear have not yet been publicly released, according to E!. But the actress—who has a starring role in director Justin Chadwick’s forthcoming The Other Boleyn Girl—does sport one pair, red faux-patent-leather pumps, on the company’s Web site.

To be priced at about $200, the shoes are not only animal-free, but they’re charitable too—5% of the profits will go a good cause. They are expected to hit stores in February, but eager shoppers can reportedly nab a pair of Portman kicks from the Té Casan site as early as January, 15.
