Kelly Cutrone Will Shell Out Dating Advice on The City
A preview of Whitney Port's new Hills spin-off reality show, The City, was shown on MTV last night. For the past few months Ms. Port has been working in the PR department at Diane von Furstenberg and has befriended socialite (and professional frenemy) Olivia Palermo.
Ms. Port is shown spending time with an attractive Australian guy who seems to be the East Coast version of Justin Bobby, both aesthetically and in his views of monogamy. Meanwhile Ms. Palermo seems quite friendly--she is shown at a balcony dinner party thrown in honor of Ms. Port's arrival in New York--but also kinda untrustworthy! (We caught her shooting Ms. Port a glare when she wasn't looking.)
But wait! Could that be... Kelly Cutrone?
Just last week, Ms. Cutrone told The Cut that she passed on having a role on the show.
"I also didn't really feel like it was a great idea to be on a spinoff of a spinoff of a spinoff. I felt like I already rolled the dice," she told the fashion blog. "I have another deal that I'm going to be an exec producer on — that I'll own part of."
But there she is! Giving out dating advice! In the part of the preview when Ms. Port seems unable to decide whether her new boyfriend is a cheater or her overprotective male friend is a liar, Ms. Cutrone offers some guidance.
"Maybe you can't trust both of them," says Ms. Cutrone sagely. Ms. Port carefully listens to her mentor and nods.
Um, yeah. We can't wait.
