It's not a big surprise, but within minutes of the polls closing, Vermont has been called for Barack Obama and John McCain.

I have a question: are the people in Vermont all f*ck nuts, I mean are they all like the folks on "Newhart"? I mean they want to arrest Bush and Cheney if they show up in Battleboro, among other things. How a state with just 500,000 people get two US senators...it's just beyond belief. Yeah, I know, it's what the Constitution commands, but geez, Leahy and Sanders?? Maple syrup for brains.
