Olbermann Overboard? Huffington Post Chronicles Fallout From Keith vs. Katie

Pitiful journalism, if it could even be described as such. I appreciated Obermann's initial calling out of Bush et al for the war instigation. But, his incessant screaming at O Reilly and his over the top mysogism forced me to go to other stations for coverage. Unfortunately, Obermann's collegues, including Mathews and Campbell Brown were enablers. Wholly unprofessional! And, a sad commentary on the Fourth estate, for this Democratic primary.

keith has the worst hairpiece in the world (and if it ain't fake it sure looks it).

What makes Katie so special that you can't criticize her? Keith was exactly right. He says what everyone on TV is afraid to say but what we are saying out here in Middle America.

When Ifirst started watching Keith Olbermann, I thought he was a knight in shining armour. Unfortunately, he has developed into the King's jester. Only about 1/3 of the program is news, 1/3 nonsense and 1/3 commercials. He has turned into the Bill O'Reilly of the left and is now "full of himself" melodramatic
and unpofessional.

I love Keith. He was the only one who stood up to Bush. The others folded like cheap suits. He is also the only one exposing McCain. Leave him alone.

I am amazed at how the men newscasters seem to have to bash Katie Curic. I have watched Ketie on the evening news. She is a lady, she is doing a good job and she is always on top oif her topics our subjects. I have watched Katie do the really hard, tough, and sensitive interview and yet maintain dignity for her guest, but also coming down on the truth, no matter how hurtful it might be. The shows format might not be what the "guy" are doing, but she does have a style all her own. I can only imagine how tough it is to get up and do that newscast everyday and get no stress. Katie handles it, she is staying the course and I admire her for it. No one, and I do mean no one was going to have an easy time bring CBS up and I can only say ddthat she had improved daily, weekly and monthly as she progresses further into her brillliant career. She has a toughness and resiliance underneath that sweet, warm, funny, kind face and persona that makes her what she is today. The adversity and the different styles of the people she interviews and work with she manages extremely well on camera and off. She also has an honesty, forgiving, and sincereness to her that can only hold her steadfast in the days to come.

Keith Olbermann should go stick his head under a facett! What makes him the ultimate authority to smear another journalist and collegue. It is one thing to jump on dthe performance of the President of the United States and critize him for his actions and the job he is doing, it is another thing to attack a fellow journalist. It is President Bushs turn to be on the hot seat and so he should be. The war, the economy, the advisors he listens to and he knows it isn't workig, but he hangs on to Vice President Chaeny and all the mis information he fed him or maybe he even fed himself over Iraq. Bush wants yes men around him and people who can make him appear in charge, because he isn't. I think Cheny runs this county and has from the get go. Cheny should have been impeached out of office at the very least over Iraq and the CIA leak. These pepole are playng with fire and its a wonder the United States hasn't been attacked here more than it has, due to the actions of our President and his cronies. Rumsfeld was a joke and I know that President Bush had to realize it at some point that things weren't working. He should have fired him from the get go, but he kept bellieving the crap Rumsfeld and cheny fed him. What a mess! The people of the United States should be truly ashamed and embarrassed about the leaders of this country. They have left us high and dry!

Condi Rice is the only one up at that level that I truly think is brilliant and is not a yes person. She has taken that job and has handled it with dignity, power, and grace. She has shown a woman can do th We have been so embarrassed by our top people, including the President and Vice President.

Now the economy has gone to hell in a hand basket and the people that should fix it are the President. He should declare a price control on gas at $3.00 a gallon. The oil companies to take their profits and help this country out of the mess we are in, they certainly have collected billions of dollars over the years fromthe American people
They would still be making a profit. The money going over seas to help all these other countries should be cut back and at least some of it reassigned to give those people who can't afford insurance and those who have preexisiting problems and can't get insured coverage. The could run those programs either through the program Congress has or the Social Security Insurance companies and get people the help they need so they can live with some dignity and decent health care. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out what to do, Its getting the government to take action. THAT ACTION UNFORTUNATELY HAS TO TAKE PLACE AT THE FEDERAL LEVEL BECAUSE THE PROBLEM IS THAT ENOURMOUS, IT TRULY IS.

IF THE COST OF GAS GOES DOWN, SO DOES EVERYTHING ELSE. THE COUNTRY DOESN'T HAVE TO BE IN A RECESSION. WE CAN STOP THIS IF WE FORCE OUR LEADERS TO GET OFF THE POT AND MOVE ON THIS, THE AMERICAN PEOPLE CAN NOT AFFORD TO WAIT AND THEY SHOULDN'T HAVE TO WAIT FOR HEALTH CARE, PRESCRIPTIONS, DECENT PLACES TO LIVE, THE HOMELESS COULD BE HOUSED IN EMPTY GOVERNMENT BUILDINGS THAT AREN'T BEING USED. OLD SCHOOLS STANDING EMPTY, OLD HOSSPITALS, CARE CENTERS ETC. THERE ARE PRIVATE AND PUBLIC BUILDINGS THAT THE UPSTAIRS LOFTS AND OFFICES SIT EMPTY IN THE WINTER AND PEOPLE DOWN ON THE LUCK LIVE ON THE STREETS WITH NO WHERE TO GO AND BE WARM AND SAFE AT NIGHT. SOME OF THE INCLUDE CHILDREN. SOME PEOPLE ARE LIVING IN TENTS AND UNDER BRIDGES AND OUT ON THE BEACHES AND RIVERS IF THEY DON'T GET CAUGHT AND RUN OFF.

THERE IS JUST SO MUCH MORE IN THIS WORLD THAN THIS SMALL MAN BASHING KATIE CURIC, WHO DOESN'T DESERVE IT. WHY DOESN'T HE WORK ON THESE OTHER PROBLEMS INSTEAD OF CRITICIZING. AS FOR THE CLINTONS, HILLARY AND OBAMA HANDLED THE RACE WITH PROFESSIONALISM AND I AM PROUD OF BOTH OF THEM. YES, THERE MIGHT HAVE BEEN A FEW, "AH'S AND WHAT ABOUT THIS AND YOU ARE SO WRONG ABOUT THAT" BUT for the most part, they respected each other and they didn't let their people get to far out of line either. I am proud of both of them. I HOPE OBAMA HAS THE GREAT SENSSE TO PICK HILLARY CLINTON AS HIS VICE PRESIDENT. SHE WOULD BE HIS BIGGEST ALLY AND ASSET. SHE HAS THE MATURITY, STRENGTH OF CHARACTER AND THE ABILITY TO WORK WITH ANYONE IN ANY CIRCUMSTANCE AND SHE DEFINITELY PROVED THAT IN EVERY WAY AS SHE WAS PUT THROUGH THE FIRE DURING PRESIDENT CLINTONS TERMS OF OFFICE, PUBLIC AND PRIVATE. SHE IS HER OWN PERSON, AND SHE WOULD HAVE NO PROBLEM TELLING FORMER PRESIDENT BILL CLINTON TO BACK OFF, I WILL ASK WHEN I NEED ADVICE OR THANK YOU FOR THE INFORMATION AND IF IT IS HELPFUL THEN I WILL PASS IT ON OR USE IT, BUT IT IS MY JOB.

I WORKED WITH OUR SENATORS AND ATTORNEYS TO EFFECT A $325,000 HECFA DEBT FOR A SMALL HEALTH CARE DISTRICT IN WHEELER OREGON, NOT A LARGE AREA, BUT THE RESIDENTS WOULD HAVE BEEN TAXED TO PAY OFF THAT DEBT IF I HADN'T SUCCEEDED AND I DID. SO I BASICALLY EDUCATED MYSELF ENOUGH TO FUNCTION AND COMPLETE THE BUSINESS POSITIONS I HELD IN A POSITIVE AND SUCCESSFUL MANNER FOR ALL. I stopped watching Olbermann months ago and now rely on Stephen Colbert for my spin on the news. Colbert's audience recognizes the satire of a comedian acting like a serious news commentator and succeeds on both counts. Olbertmann tries to be a satirical newscaster and fails to be either.

Could Mr. Olbermann be a on air to prove the media has a leftwing bias/agenda?
