David Axelrod has appeared in the press enclosure here at the Unity event. He says Hillary will be a "huge force in bringing about the change we all want."

And her husband?

"We would welcome him. You know, there are only four living presidents and he has so much to offer here. We hope to establish a close relationship."

Axelrod also predicted his campaign would be accused of "inventing" the tie result here in the primary but "that was what happened."

And with that, there comes the sound of Obama and Clinton being introduced. No one can see them yet, though, and the crowd, which was cheering wildly, has gone quiet again.

A reporter says to none in particular that HRC might have decided to make a last round of superdelegate calls instead.

I believe that real reason Bill is silent now,is that he has to rest and regroup himself from all the bias press!!and the personal attacks about Hillary and about him from the O.H.B campaign. Oops!! I mean the B.O we can club!! I have now politically corrected myself. We all know why she had to jump ship, but why is it so important to MR.B.O. he has Bill's support???The press and the B.O campaign knocked down them both especially Bill! In fact as I recall something about a racist slipped in there?? We Americans and True Clinton supporters are not stupid !!The fact is Bill is going to have to put on a great performance to pull this off!!It wouldn't surprise me if he secretly taking acting lesson!!cause he is going to need it. Oh by the way Bill, send the bill to the O.H.B campaign for payment!! I can't wait till the day I see Bill clapping his hands, smiling, maybe hugging Mr.B.O and chanting !!WE CAN WE CAN!! If he does indeed do this and well. This man should get an oscar!!! Some of us will know that he has too. But I hope he makes them give lots and lots of The B.O DOLLARS to flow in his direction. Go get'em, Bill!! YOU CAN,YOU CAN,YOU CAN

Why would the Obama team need a racist like Bill Clinton on their side? One whom they generally agreed was a slime ball like his bitch wife?
