In a new ad, Democratic Congressional candidate Tracey Brooks uses a sports metaphor to defend herself against what she says are unfair attacks from her main primary rival, Phil Steck.
“In basketball, when you get out of line, the ref calls a technical foul. In campaigns, you’re the ref,” says Brooks, who played on her high school state championship basketball team.
The Steck-Brooks rivalry has been, at times, in need of a referee.
She also mentions working with Hillary Clinton on health care.
