Catsimatidis: Blame Pelosi
Azi Paybarah

John Catsimatidis, the Clinton donor and Gristedes founder who is now planning to run for mayor as a Republican, blames Democrats, naturally, for the failure of the federal bailout legislation.

"Nancy Pelosi should have known about it before she brought it for a vote," Catsimatidis told me in an email.

Bubby (not verified) says:

New York City folks have to focus their blame on sleazy Democratic Congressmembers - none worse than Jose "Castro admirer" Serrano. Nancy Pelosi does, as the owner the dirty Gristede empire suggests, deserve serious blame for failing to count the Democrats (94 votes against suggests she has not gotten support). In fact, all Congressional leaders should consider this a vote of no confidence and resign. Go Home!!!

I find it interesting that when Pelosi fails to know how members of her party will vote, it is a negative. When Silver does know how members of his party will vote, it is him ruling with an iron fist.

TKMEN (not verified) says:

John Catsimatidis knows just a bit about building an economic powerhouse. And, something about how to rescue a failing company. At a time when people are talking about extending Mayor Bloomberg's term because he knows how to build a billion dollar comapny, Catsimatidis has the same qualifications.
