A Clinton Protest at Obama's Bundler Unity Event

Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama's joint fund-raiser this evening at the Grand Hyatt may have some unwanted guests.
A diehard Clinton loyalist is trying to organize a picket at the meeting to demand that Clinton delegates not be obliged to declare support for Obama at the Democratic convention in August. A reader sent over one of the daily e-mails distributed by former Clinton campaign volunteer and fund-raiser Ricki Lieberman, who calls for other Clinton loyalists to assemble and protest.
"Wednesday we meet at 45th and Park Ave at 5:00pm. We then march to the Grand Hyatt at 42nd and Park at 5:30. Then we flyer and hold signs demanding that Hillary be on a full roll call," the email begins.
It goes on to cite a bunch of negative newspaper articles about Obama and argues that Clinton is still the Democrats' best chance of winning the White House.

Just more evidence that the rage amongst Hillary Clintons millions of supporters has not diminished.
Short of her being on the ticket as VP, the rage will continue and may very well intensify.
I don’t think Obama and his supporters would be wise to underestimate the depth and intensity of Hillary’s support – 18 million is a LOT of votes.
Of course it would not be the first time her support was underestimated (i.e. her wins in CA, NV, NH, TX, OH, PA, FL, NY, NJ, etc).
No Hillary = No Unity.
Damm i missed it!! :-(
NObama, Just Say NO Deal, PUMA!
I am so happy to hear about the protest. I can't be there because I live in CA, but I am thrilled to hear about it. I hope a lot of people turn out. I love you guys--Hillary family. I really hope that Hillary won't become his VP. I WILL NEVER vote for him in the #1 position.

Go Ricki! There are millions of us out here behind you! If you are upset about the lack of respect Hillary has recieved in this primary please join us at JUST SAY NO DEAL and become a PUMA. Now they are trying to eliminate her from the roll call at the convention. This is a candidate who recieved more votes in the primary than anyone in history, including Obama.
They are protesting on behalf of Hillary supporters throughout the country who are aware that Senator Clinton, despite having garnered the most votes in a primary, has been elbowed out of the election. The DNC primary was a farce and we cannot support an Obama candidacy.
PUMA
Darn, I live 15 minutes away - I was walking down 42nd this afternoon!!! I would have grabbed a sign in a heartbeat.
Love it!! People are JUST SO DISGUSTED with this ZERO that has been FORCED on US that we can't stand it!! Day after disgusting day, we have to hear yet ANOTHER CHANGE...he's about CHANGE all right! One of his biggest problems is the fact that he knows a little about a lot of things and not a whole lot about ANYTHING, so in his pathetic attempt to try to win OVER THE WHOLE COUNTRY, he has said virtually EVERYTHING under the sun and has gone in so MANY DIFFERENT directions not a dam soul knows what he is talking about? And I think that is the whole point! The good thing is, nobody atleast those of us with SOME common sense are BUYING it~ And as the days go on and he FLIPS and FLOPS even those who were fainting over him are now looking at him with a BIG GIANT ?????? Go McCain!~!~
Who said women were too emotional to be trusted with the vote? That guy must have been a sexist. Vote McCain. Please, please, please. With an additional 18 million votes, this is gonna be a cakewalk.
Extension of the Bush tax cuts!!! No more estate tax (whoops, I mean "death tax")!!! While you're at it, how about eliminating all capital gains taxes too? Another hundred years in Iraq!!! War with Iran and all the Islamo-Fascists!!! But the best part? A couple more justices and we can finally get rid of abortion!!! Women can go back to doing what God intended: staying home and raising a family. But why stop here? Let's roll back the Voting Rights Act of '65, maybe the Civil Rights Act, too? I mean, racism is definitely a thing of the past.
I would say we should work on repealing the Nineteenth Amendment also, since we're going to get a monstrous majority with all the embittered Hill-Billy voters coming our way, but then again, repeal would render the hysterical and irrational appeals of politicians so much less effective, and how else can we continue to manipulate the electorate?
I love it! I'm sure Ricki got a big group together--she's a great organizer.
Poor Barry - no one likes him....
Go Rick,
I back you 100%. Don't stop, Hillary won the popular vote and the electoral count. The RBC along with Dean violated voters rights by not counting all of Florida and Michigan, and giving 4 of Hillary's votes to Obama. The Credentials Committee better get off their B*tts and correct this for they have placed a forever rule which will allow this to cause Fraud in this Party, not including the Caucasus system which Obama has used to have his supporters sign the pleg papers to be a delegate and then in turn they changed their mine at the state convention so as to place him with more people (delegates) so as to try to try to guarantee his nomination, (FRAUD AGAIN).
Hillary Clinton is the right person to be in the office for President of the United States. She has the concern, the experience, the understanding, the knowledge, and the determination to do what is right for this country.
Ricki keep up the fight.
How did it go? Can we get an update? Thanks
"Short of her being on the ticket as VP, the rage will continue and may very well intensify."
Some of her supporters will be MORE angry if they do put her on as VP! We'll just say No Deal and work doubly hard against a ticket that would make her give up her own Senate career to iron that dummy's shirt and spend her wonderful intellect inventing excuses for WORM (What Obama Really Meant). (And see petition)
Vote McCain -- keep Hillary free. PUMA!
The only thing that will end the rage is for Hillary to take
this to the Convention for a fair and square
floor fight. Then we can see who's the better candidate!
Obama is a weakling and a wimp.
Hillary '08
Thank God somebody there was honest about how they felt. This Unity business is a sham and there's no getting around it. PUMAs do not support the "illegitimate" nominee who has shown he has exactly zero chance of beating a candidate who's supposed to be mincemeat already.
It isn't that we're bitter; it's that we're aghast. Who is this guy from Illinois? What has he done to make him worthy of the Presidency and why is the candidate that is so much more electable and so much more qualified being forced to bow down before him and kiss his feet?
It makes no sense and us Clinton supporters are the type who can't stand those kinds of quandries.
I wish I lived in New York so I could have been there. Ricki Lieberman, GO GO GO!! We're with you 100%.
PUMA!
We will NOT accept the illegitimate candidate that the DNC is trying to shove down our throats. First they award Obama ALL the delegates for the Michigan uncommitted votes, then they steal another 4 of Hillary's delegates to give to him. Fair election? Hardly. Hillary won the popular vote and is our nominee of choice. Sign me. . . one of 18 million.
Go to www.Together4Us.com, select Comments and Electability. Join us in writing to superdelegates in an Electability Watch (started by none other than Ricki Lieberman).
PUMA!!
YES! YES! YES! I just know she could win as an independent but if she won't or can't run - I will vote for McCain, whether or not she's on his ticket. What about him on the ticket as VP?
Melancholy Korean is a half-witted sexist swine who doesn't bother to perceive what the actual concerns are before attempting to belittle his opponents. Take your swill elsewhere, or pull your head out to learn where the unity express derailed.
Go Ricki! We want the ELECTED not the SELECTED candidate.
The voters will stand behind Hillary. The primary was a disgrace to the Democratic party and so was the party leaders and officials. Now we can get democracy working again.
GO PUMAS
Bravo to the noble protesters! You speak for millions who reject and denounce the travesty that has been visited upon the electorate by those with nefarious motives who have cynically manipulated autocratic rules.
Words from a Founding Father are as true today as when they were penned:
*To compel a man to furnish funds for the propagation of ideas he disbelieves and abhors is sinful and tyrannical.
*An elective despotism was not the government we fought for.
*Timid men prefer the calm of despotism to the tempestuous sea of liberty.
*When wrongs are pressed because it is believed they will be borne, resistance becomes morality.
Thomas Jefferson
We stand unwavering with you in the demand for democracy, a true accounting and fair reflection of the votes of all the people and freedom from discrimination for all, regardless of race or gender.
Bravo!
You speak and act for millions who are demanding democratic principles, not cynical and autocratic rules, be upheld. True Democrats never fear a fair accounting and reflection of all votes cast!
For the first time in US history, a woman goes into the convention with the most votes in Primary history. Will US history bear the eternal shame of trying to hide the evidence and silence the voices of 18 million people?
Hey...Join Pumapac.org and get involved! New members join every day. People who refuse the sham that is Obama. People who refuse to accept the public manipulation and corrupted selection of our presidents. Join today and tomorrow (Another protest in the works, early, early in the morning) you can MAKE them recognize your voice, seeing as our VOTES are being given to whoever the hell they choose.
Sometimes it just feels SO GOOD! You know.... like Jesse Jackson said. Grab and whack!
Especially, periodically when a man's feeling down. Hopeless, you know. You do know that cheating and lies engender hopeless, not hope?
Oh, it just feels SO GOOD to:

GO RICKI! GO www.together4us.com!
GO TO www.18millionvoices.blogspot.com and GET INVOLVED IN YOUR COMMUNITY!
WE THE PEOPLE know that Hillary got more votes than ANYONE in Democratic Primary History and we FULLY INTEND TO HONOR HER ACHIEVEMENTS this month, next months and forever!
WE WILL NOT BE SILENCED by the DNC, the Media or anyone else!
PUMA!
You rock Ricky! PUMA!
This has become a battle for our democracy, our right to vote. The DNC, Pelosi, and Obama campaign in concert with a biased mainstream media have "selected" a premeditated candidate in Obama. Can you spell R-I-G-G-E-D?
Instead of taking the Bush autocracy to task the DNC, Pelosi et al have taken a page from the Neocon playbook in hijacking the Democratic primary for Obama.
Wake up Superdelegates, wake up fellow Democrats! Hillary Clinton is the only Democrat who can take the White House in 2008. Obama is a flipflopping , Machiavellian, pretender.
Just Say No Deal. No Obama. PUMA!
Good! Protest this horrible nightmare!
