Oh, Congressman Ed Towns is holding an event ... in his district!?! But surely, according to his rival Kevin Powell, Ed Towns would NEVER be caught DEAD actually doing anything in the 10th?!? Way to go Ed!
Kevin Powell is a bad joke of a candidate and would be a horrible joke of a congressman. Brooklyn needs better in DC.
Congressman Towns' involvement in his district is always conveniently in full bloom during election time. Towns always conveniently reminds his constituents of his minor participation in Washington by mailing sheets of paper highlighting what he has allegedly accomplished in D.C., always during election time.
What Kevin Powell has successfully accomplished is, challenging Towns’ coziness and relaxation, and has triggered Towns to comply with his duties as a representative to Brooklyn’s 10th district. Ed Towns seem to always conveniently recognize his position and ‘respect’ for his constituents around election time. Towns is 74 years old, we are facing a new era, new concerns and goals. After 26 years tenure in Congress, Towns was sleepwalking and has been temporarily revived.
A couple of appearances during election season should not be the basis for receiving votes. If Towns was doing his job in congress, he would never feel threatened by Kevin Powell.
